Internxt is flagging negative Trustpilot reviews to get them taken down!

I left a negative review on Trustpilot a while back after a bad experience with Internxt. Months later, out of nowhere, I got an email from Trustpilot saying Internxt had just flagged my review as "not based on a genuine experience" and asking me to send documentation within 3 days or the review goes offline.

Think about how many people get that email, do not have the time or the saved screenshots to fight it, and just let it go. That review then disappears. Multiply that by however many negative reviews get flagged this way, and you get a cleaner looking score than the actual product deserves.

For reference, Internxt currently sits at 2.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot with 1,308 reviews, and their own page states they reply to only 28 percent of negative reviews. Their score has quietly crept up too, from around 2.4 to 2.6 over the past year to 2.8 now, while the same complaints keep repeating.

I still had the screenshots and the confirmation email saved from when it happened, so I sent them in and my review should stay up. Not everyone will bother. If you left a genuine bad review and get one of these emails, do not ignore it, reply with whatever proof you have, even a screenshot of your account or the support email thread counts. Do not let them quietly clean up their score at your expense.

Surfshark somehow managed to make a bad UI even worse.

A while back I posted about how Surfshark's UI was frustrating - Favorites buried under Recently Used, inconsistent experience across platforms, broken Bypass on iOS. The feedback in that thread showed I wasn't alone.

Well, the latest update arrived and instead of fixing any of that, they managed to outdo themselves.

Favorites are gone. Completely removed. The feature where you save the servers you actually use regularly, gone. What replaced it? Recently Used and something along the lines of Recommended in your area. So now instead of connecting to your preferred server in two taps, you get to dig through an algorithmically shuffled list every single time. This is not a simplification. This is a step backward.

And while they were busy removing useful things, nobody apparently noticed that the app looks and behaves completely differently depending on which device you're on. iOS, Android and Windows each have their own layout, their own flow, their own logic. There is no consistency whatsoever. Switching between devices feels like switching between three different apps made by three different teams who never spoke to each other.

I tried reaching out through official channels to communicate that users want a fast, intuitive app where connecting to a preferred server takes seconds. What we got instead was the opposite of that, in every update.

On top of the UI regression, connection quality has noticeably dropped lately. TikTok and Reels stutter constantly while connected, which wasn't the case before. Split tunneling is still broken on Windows half the time, and iOS still has no per-app bypass at all - a feature competitors like ProtonVPN have had for ages.

Surfshark's server network is genuinely solid and the price point is competitive. But at some point the product needs to work well end to end, not just on a spec sheet. Right now every update feels like a reminder that nobody on the UX side is actually using their own app.

Anyone else hit with the Favorites removal or found a workaround?

8bitdo Ultimate 2 instead of Xbox Wireless controller

Hey all,

sorry if I'm asking a dumb question, or something already discussed.

I'm playing Forza Horizon 6 on PC, and my friend told me I should get an Xbox controller for a better experience.

However, I saw it's an old device, with only Bluetooth wireless connection which is slow and usually loosing connectivity. On top of it I hate wires, my desk is clean with 2.4GHz mouse, keyboard, headphones, and therefore I would take also a 2.4GHz wireless gamepad for this game.

What do you think about the one in the Title? Could it be a good alternative for the original Xbox controller?

Thanks in advance,

Nikola

How Mixcloud shadowbans creators and lies about it.

After over a year of building my DJ mix channel on Mixcloud, I discovered I had been shadowbanned. No warning, no strike, no email, no mention of any of this in their Terms of Use.

Here is exactly what happened and how I caught them.

The symptoms:

My last three uploads stopped appearing in the For You and New Uploads feeds for my followers. Outbound follow notifications from my account stopped reaching other users. My follow-back rate dropped to near zero over a period of two to three months. Plays, favorites, and overall engagement on my last three mixes dropped to roughly 50% of my previous channel average.

Every other channel I monitored functioned normally. The problem was isolated exclusively to my account.

The runaround:

I contacted support. For weeks I received holding responses while their engineering team "investigated." When I pushed harder with documented evidence including test accounts that confirmed missing notifications, they finally admitted that an "automated system" had flagged my account. The triggers? Using a VPN. Having a link to my own website in my bio. Using secondary accounts to follow my own channel to test functionality. None of these are listed as prohibited behavior anywhere in Mixcloud's Terms of Use.

The fake fix:

After I escalated formally, Mixcloud told me they had applied a manual update to override the flag and that everything was resolved. I tested immediately. My known test accounts received notifications. I assumed it was fixed.

Then I tested with two independent accounts that I had never mentioned to Mixcloud support. Neither received a follow notification. I asked two separate people with real Mixcloud accounts to check. Same result. No notifications.

Mixcloud had selectively unblocked only the accounts they knew I was using to test, while leaving the restriction active for everyone else. When I confronted them with this, there was no adequate response. No compensation was offered for three mixes that lost their entire organic window due to this issue.

Where I stand:

I have canceled my Pro subscription and I'm in process of deleting my Mixcloud channel. I am not willing to build on a platform that shadowbans accounts without disclosed rules, strings creators along for weeks with fake investigations, and then manufactures a fake fix to make the problem appear resolved.

If you are a creator on Mixcloud and your numbers have suddenly dropped for no apparent reason, test your account the way I did. Use someone who has never been mentioned in any support ticket. The results might surprise you.

Mixcloud has 2.5 million creators on its platform. If this happened to me, it has happened to others who never figured out why their numbers dropped and assumed it was their own fault. Do not give your time, content, and money to a platform that treats its creators this way. Boycott Mixcloud.

I am moving to SoundCloud and hearthis.at.

Feel free to ask me anything about the process or the evidence I gathered.

iOS app is loosing connection for a week already

Since one week ago the iOS app is completely broken. It’s reconnecting on every minute while the VPN shows it’s connected for hours. This is resulting stutters and glitches while surfing or playing media online.
I have reported it at the moment it started but till today the support team did nothing about this issue.
It’s very frustrating and I would like to know how many of you are experiencing the same.

I've been a MEGA Pro subscriber for two years. Their backup feature was the main reason I stayed. Then it broke about two and a half months ago, and I started seriously looking for alternatives.

Filen caught my attention immediately. Zero-knowledge E2EE by default, open source, competitive pricing, clean desktop client, and a team that actually responds. Everything about it screams "this is built by people who care." I even reached out to their support and had a genuinely useful back-and-forth conversation with them.

But after digging into the sync modes, I hit a wall.

What I need is simple in concept but apparently rare in practice: a true real-time backup mode. My entire D drive mirrored to the cloud instantly, every file change, rename, deletion, and metadata update pushed to the cloud the moment it happens. A live 1:1 replica, always in sync, no manual intervention.

The part that makes this a backup rather than just a sync: the cloud copy must be strictly read-only. No way to delete, move, or modify anything from the web app, another client session, or any other interface. Only preview, stream, and download. The moment cloud-side writes are possible, the mirror is no longer trustworthy.

Filen's "Local to cloud" mode gets close, but as their own support confirmed, there is no write-lock enforcement on the cloud side. Another logged-in session can touch the cloud folder, and versioning is the safety net rather than a preemptive block. That is not the same thing.

Versioning and trash retention are also part of what I need, and Filen already has both. That part is covered.

The sync engine is apparently being rewritten right now, which means the timing for this kind of feature request could not be better. I already submitted it on features.filen.io.

Filen, you are genuinely the closest thing to what I am looking for. This one addition would make the switch a no-brainer.

No matter what I do and how I try, no picture will be uploaded in the chat through the iOS app. Camera function works, but pulling the image from gallery not.

I've been paying MEGA Pro I for almost 2 years and recommended them to anyone on Reddit.

I'm here to take it all back. Here's why:

February 21, 2026. I reinstall Windows. Open the MEGA desktop app. Try to set up my backup again. Error. Try again. Error. Try the official troubleshooting steps. Error. The device is stuck in their backend under an old motherboard ID that I cannot see, cannot rename, cannot delete from anywhere. Not the Android app. Not iOS. Not the web Device Centre. It's a ghost their system refuses to let go of.

I open a ticket. Then another. I send logs. I record videos. I screenshot every settings page on every platform they ask for. Two weeks of this.

Then the kicker: Their own devs eventually admit it's a backend bug in how they handle device lifecycle. The same bug I had reported six months earlier in a different ticket. They never fixed it then either.

"Fix coming in 6.2.0. No later than 6.4.0." No date.

6.2.0 ships. No fix. 6.2.1, 6.2.2 nothing. No fix. "Now it'll be in 6.3.0, in the next several weeks." Who knows when.

After weeks of asking for something fair, a refund for the downtime or a Pro I extension equal to it, they refused both. Then came the games:

First, they switched me to Pro II for 3 months without asking. I told them three times in writing that I don't need more storage, I need the backup to work. They called it a favor.

When I rejected it, they shut Pro II off and came back with "no refund possible, but here's 2 months of Pro I free." Catch: to actually access those 2 months I have to cancel my Google Play subscription, which permanently kills my legacy pricing. Their "compensation" would cost me money every year going forward. And it's only 2 months. The bug is already deep in its third month with no fix shipped. They refuse to extend further. Final answer.

Refund refused. Real extension refused. What's left is either a financial trap or storage I don't use. That's MEGA's idea of fair.

Third month of paying for a broken core feature. No fix. No usable compensation. Just "escalated to developers" copy-pasted every week.

Why I'm posting:

If you are considering MEGA specifically for backup, read this first. Their backup feature has a known device-lifecycle bug that triggers on any Windows reinstall or hardware change.

I'm filing a Google Play refund dispute next. If anyone here has gone through that process for a non-functional paid app feature, I'd like to hear how it went.
