I had purchased a few figurines from a facebook seller who claimed their home was smoke free. I have an extremely sensitive nose and when I opened the package, the cigarette smell brunt my nose and I coughed for a good while. I tried airing them out but it did not work and gave me headaches every time I entered the room I aired them out in. I did not feel comfortable keeping them so I immediate messaged the seller about this. They apologized, and accepted a return for refund.

Apparently, there were other people who bought from this seller and they had the same issue with the smell that I did not know about until a week after the purchase.

I used Paypal g/s and created a case to return the items to the seller. The seller told me to close the case cause it would charge a sum of money on the seller's end. I felt bad cause I did not know about this. Seller told me they are going through financial struggles and I didn't want to cause more trouble.

If I ship the items back to them before the case deadline and they send me the refund, can I close the case so they don't have to deal with the fees? Or is it safer that the refund is refunded through the case only?

This is the first time I've experienced this and would really appreciate some advice.

Hi! My mother was invited to a wedding and I'm helping her look for a dress. I've looked at places like norma reed and honey, but they often look too colourful or too stylish. Does anyone have recommendations? Preferably simple, not sparkly and not fast fashion. Thanks!

Edit: This is her preference, she likes a more minimalist style. Ignore the word "suitable". It was not my intention to sound like her age was a problem in any way.
