I am planning on taking A&P 1 and 2. What professors do you recommend? I am looking for someone who's exams are similar to the lecture material (no surprises on the exam), gives extra credit, and multiple choice only exams.
I was bullied in my first year of college by a student organization. Without going into too much detail, there was basically a smear campaign against me, and this all happened in my third week of college.
This significantly impacted my studying because I was just a freshman entering college and suddenly dealing with this awful experience. On top of that, I’m also FGLI and went to a T10, and I wasn’t used to such a rigorous environment coming from an easy high school.
Instead of focusing on building good study habits, I was constantly anxious about running into people from that group, and I was honestly just caught so off guard that I could be bullied right as I started college, especially by adults.
I do take accountability that I shouldn’t have let this interfere with school, and I probably should have taken action against the student organization, but I was really naive back then.
When I eventually stopped giving a fuck about the bullies and started to work on my studying habits, my GPA went up significantly.
Would it be a red flag to Adcoms if I mentioned that my low grades were mainly due to the impact of bullying? Or should I frame it more as struggling academically and not knowing how to study properly, which is also true, but not the primary reason.
