PATD goes TikTok viral... again... this time with 'Nine In the Afternoon (Live in Chicago)'

Never has there been a band that is currently not trying to be viral, but is somehow still going viral because the songs are that good. PATD stans keep winning!

Keltie Knight leaks that Brendon and Sarah were at Taylor Swift's wedding on the LadyGang podcast

She talked about Sarah posting about it on her IG (her private account of course because Sarah doesn't post publicly anymore, I don't know if Keltie knows that anymore).

Also, I am only posting this because people have asked whether they went. I don't have pictures. This is all the proof I have.

16 Years Ago Twilight's Eclipse was first released to cinemas. We are officially in Eclipse season.

Fun fact, this was the only Twilight movie that was a Summer Blockbuster. The rest came out in the Fall.

The last picture for anyone interested is a deleted scene. It was supposed to be when Jacob and Bella kissed on tbe mountain side, Bella would envision how her whole very human future with Jake would've looked, how she wouldn't have needed to let go of Charlie or Renee, and how they would've had kids. The scene got cut, Kristen was happy it got cut in the Eclipse commentary.

An Even More Updated List of Unreleased Stuff and Demos from PATD over the Years (Alternatively Titled: Can you believe it's been 3 years since the Leak War of 2023?)

UPDATE 1: Leak War happened... and now it might be continuing as I write this. Am I ever going to be safe to post this update with the knowledge that we have everything? Just know I won't be posting links to songs that the band members or songwriters have not shared themselves (if they've sung it live, I will post it), because there is a possibility now that some of these links can be broken because Crush, Warner Bros, and FBR are actually striking videos. So, all I'm going to say is, if you want to search for any of this stuff, it's probably on YouTube somewhere and if it's not there right now it probably will be at some point.

UPDATE 2: How has it been 3 years? So much has happened in that time. Well, thanks to Brendon deciding to release all the AFYCSO demos (thanks for that) and a blistering hot UK summer that is currently making me feel like I am on the surface of the sun, I now have the time and the reason to update this list. I also want to preface this with: You can find all of River's demos that I mention in this on Weezify (the Weezer music streaming service run by Rivers Cuomo himself). So, find yourself a Weezer fan with this app if you want to hear his PATD demos. Same rules as before. Please do not post anything about where to find leaks specifically apart from making it as vague as possible and no links in the comments please! I am 99% sure that someone from Crush Management does keep an eye on this sub, and we do not want all the leaks to get copyright striked or removed entirely (for the love of God, Crush and FBR, let the people hear 'Night Birds' that's all we ask!).

I'm going to try to go by era with this, but there will be a miscellaneous section. Also feel free to comment anything that I've missed. The only thing I will not be including is rarities (like, 'C'mon' or 'Mercenary') or bonus tracks because they are released in some form. Nothing unreleased really exists from Fever due to the band just kind of putting out everything they were currently writing at the time (there were lyrics that didn't make the final cut and that was kind of it, but that is in the lyric booklet and Ryan's Live Journal and that's a whole new post to make), and same with Pretty. Odd. as well (they were on a time crunch for that album, everything unreleased from that time is probably the cabin stuff). But this is all the stuff we know definitely exists so far:

Viva Las Vengeance:

  • 'California' (leaked)
  • 'Y-O-U Don't Want Me' (leaked)
  • 'Sugar Soaker' (Demo) (leaked)
  • Viva Las Vengeance (Demos) (demos from Spotify's Song Exploder, first one is Brendon's demo, second one is the acoustic one at Mike's house, and third one is pretty much the final demo, this was released with YOUR permission WMG, you shouldn't be copyrighting it)

Pray for the Wicked:

  • 'Love Me' (demo instrumental for 'Dancing's Not a Crime') (leaked)
  • 'Anti-Social' (instrumental demo) (originally written by Emi Wes, was not used) (leaked)
  • 'Anti-Social' (demo with vocals by Emi Wes) (originally written by Emi Wes, was not used) (leaked)
  • 'Anti-Social' (demo with John Newman vocals) (was not used) (leaked)
  • 'Diamonds & Daggers' (leaked) (possible original version of 'Roaring 20s')
  • 'High Hopes' (demo with Tayla Parx singing the chorus, people have asked has anyone saved this from the leak war, I don't think anyone has, but I did hear it so I know it exists) (leaked)
  • Hey Look Ma, I Made It (Radio Disney Version) (Radio Disney Version can't physically hurt us, right?)

Death of a Bachelor:

  • My Bloody Valentine (leaked by Brendon via periscope, this was Brendon messing around with stuff to get the general vibe of what he wanted for this album, it was never going to make the tracklist and the only person who has the official version is Brendon, so unless someone is going to break into his house and download the file no one is getting the full HQ version of this song, and because I know the state of this fandom that is me stating a fact, it is not a challenge! Can we just be happy with what we've got? If anyone says to you that they've got a HQ version of this song, they are likely a scammer!)
  • Victorious (Radio Disney Version) (It hurt)
  • 'Crazy = Genius' Rivers Cuomo Demo Snippet 1 (also known as "Crazy 9 Naked", appeared on Weezer's Alone XII: The White Year, WMG why did you claim this? Rivers leaked this a while ago)
  • 'Crazy = Genius' Rivers Coumo Demo Snippet 2 (also known as "Crazy 10 Melody", appeared on Weezer's Alone XII: The White Year, refer to the point above)
  • 'Turn Up the Crazy' Rivers Cuomo's demo for Victorious where he literally just sings "Oh, we're gonna turn up the crazy".
  • 'Rock N Roll' by Alexander DeLeon (leaked) (Originally made for The Cab, an instrumental demo with different lyrics that went no where originally, very Daft Punk inspired, and Jake Sinclair asked to use it)
  • 'Night Birds' (leaked) (this was a mixed and ready to put onto the tracklist, it was taken off last minute)
  • 'Tied to the Tracks' (leaked) (a song that was originally leaked back in 2019 with a bunch of watermarks over it)
  • Exes On TV (I think Brendon leaked this on a live, sounds a little like 'High Hopes' but it's not, and it's another one of him just messing around with some stuff, hence why the song remains unfinished)

Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!:

  • Turn It Back Around (recorded from House of Memories VIP Lounge)
  • One this Time (Stuck In the Middle) (recorded from House of Memories VIP Lounge and eventually leaked) (written between Brendon and Butch Walker)
  • Far Too Young To Die (The Brobecks Version) (there are also the multiple 'Monday Morning' demos)
  • Clusterhug (written by Dallon Weekes during the 2012 tour, scrapped very early on when it just wasn't fitting the album's vision, originally released under the Brobecks for the Quiet Title EP with Ian Crawford playing guitar on the track, released again on Razzmatazz)
  • Anyone I Know (written by Dallon Weekes during the 2012 tour, similar to 'Clusterhug', scrapped very early on when it just wasn't fitting with the album's overall vision, released on the Quiet Title EP with Ian Crawford playing on the track)
  • Bad Apple (not the actual demo, but a great fanmade mashup with the demo that Brendon brought up in an interview with the songs 'Miss Jackson' and 'Every Single Night' by Fiona Apple, just so that we got the general vibe of what that song would've sounded like)
  • Vegas Lights (an older version of the lyrics to the song, I think this was the third attempt, leaked by Dallon Weekes on Live Journal, no audio just lyrics. This was a version before they contacted the Jim Henson estate, the reason the lyrics got changed according to Brendon was because of the Jim Henson estate not wanting to be associated with an explicit song)
  • 'If I Were You (I Really Wouldn't Do That)' (leaked) (from 2014, probably not intended for this album but it's about someone pissing Brendon off in 2013-2014, and to be honest that's quite a list of people to narrow it down to one person)
  • 'Love In the Middle of a Firefight (Demo)' (leaked) (it's a pretty complete demo, and was written for Dillon Francis around February 2014).
  • 'Little Secret' (leaked) (possible a scrapped song from the Nicotine EP, so maybe some Dallon and Spencer writing credits here, but also possibly written around 2012)
  • 'Hooked on a Feeling' (2012, produced by Daniel Ledinsky, could have been a song for someone else or Brendon just messing around) (leaked)
  • 'Praying' (leaked) (2012, sounds like Brendon messing around with a track, and that the song was unfinished, a snippet of the song was leaked a while ago and the vocals were presumed to have been Patrick Stump. Another Daniel Ledinsky production)

Vices & Virtues:

  • Sarah Smiles (alternative version) (this version was used in the Vices & Virtues photoshoot video, but there's unheard "Sarah"s in this version that makes me think they either redid the vocals for the album or that this was from a final demo, because this wasn't on the live version)
  • Oh Glory (demo) (I know I'm breaking my "no bonus tracks" rule, but it is an actual demo and a snippet of it was leaked by Brendon in July 2009 that they never finished, so I'm including it. I think by the guess of the song Brendon wanted to add more choir vocals onto the bridge, since it still sounds a little bare, or it's like 'My Bloody Valentine' and him and John Feldmann was just kind of messing around with the sound Brendon and Spencer wanted for the album)
  • The Calendar (Metal Version) (released by Brendon via Twitch Streams, he did this version back in 2010 and showed it to the world in 2018)

Pretty. Odd.:

  • We're So Starving (Demo) (the band uploaded it onto MySpace and then deleted afterwards)
  • Nine In the Afternoon (Demo) (Jon Walker's Demo from 2004, he probably wrote this when he was in 504 Plan (his first band back in Chicago), and it would eventually become 'Nine in the Afternoon') (leaked by Jon on his Instagram)
  • Middle of Summer (performed live during Reading Festival, a more upbeat version of 'When The Day Met the Night' with additional lyrics)
  • Lullaby (posted by Pete Wentz on his blog for 10 minutes before deleting back in July 2009, Pete wrote it but you can hear that it's definitely Brendon singing it, usually anything from this era I would put in the Vices & Virtues section but this suits the vibe of Pretty. Odd. a lot more) Cabin Album (AKA: Cricket & Clover):
  • Nearly Witches (Original Version) (snippet put onto Fall Out Boy's CitizensFOB Mixtape: Welcome To The New Administration album, under the pseudonym "The Paul Revere Jumpsuit Apparatus". Spencer said they technically wrote this coming down from the cabin)
  • It's True Love (this is from 2007 Summerfest, after this song was not well recieved they likely scrapped the album)

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (the 'Time to Dance', 'Camisado', and 'Nails' demos were making the rounds on the internet back before the band got signed, so a bit late if anyone wants to claim them now):

Miscellaneous (stuff I don't know where to put, Brendon messing around, Vine songs, Twitch songs, stuff that isn't defined by an era, stuff that we know Brendon has worked on but hasn't been released in an official way yet, etc.):

  • First Try (Brendon wrote this when he was 14, and some guy from his church had just offered to record him with his equipment at his house and Brendon was even doing chores around the house and the guy had even invited Brendon to hang out with his older friends later and Brendon never went, wow 2001 was a different time for child safeguarding, but it was mainly just Brendon messing around hence why it's called 'First Try', Brendon had completely forgotten this song existed for years until someone brought it up on Twitch and went back to listen to it and was shocked to hear it again, but he doesn't really know how it got put on the internet because he never posted it or did anything with it, however I don't think he really cares)
  • (Just A) Simple Sponge from Spongebob the Musical (6 seconds of Brendon singing the song acoustically)
  • Metal Song #1 from Brendon's Charity Stream
  • Metal Song #2 from Brendon's Twitch Stream
  • Doesn't Feel Like Christmas Time from Brendon's Twitch Stream
  • Jesus Loves Me (More Than He Loves You) from Brendon's Vine Account (no, not that account, it's another upload)
  • The Three Vine Coffee Songs from Brendon's Vine Account (nope, still not that Vine account)
  • '1989Vro' (short version) and (long version) from Brendon's Twitch Streams
  • 10K Bits from Brendon's Twitch Stream
  • (I Ripped My) Jeans (studio version from Brendon's YouTube channel, it's not an active one he posted twice on there), (2018 Periscope Version), and (twitch version)
  • Diamonds of New York (unreleased from Mike's Paul McCarthy album, according to a live Mike did recently, they tried to record it for that album but they couldn't manage to make it work, but it might possibly be on the next album and it will still feature Brendon and Jake Sinclair doing harmonies on it, until then we have this live performance of it No studio harmonies, but Brendon has a writing credit on it!)
  • 'Crosses' (demo of a rap song with Brendon on the chorus, by unknown rap artist that was signed to Atlantic Records, I believe this was the last leaked song to come out of the leak war) (leaked)

Improvised Songs (because this deserves its own section, and it's only my favourites, no requests):

Now onto some points:

I will not be posting leaks from Google Drives unless I know said Google Drive download isn't going to give people a virus or isn't just a scam. I'm also ethical when it comes to leaks, in that I don't buy them, but I'll listen to them if they exist for free consumption. I grew up with LimeWire and I am on the right side of Gen Z enough to know about scammers, I don't trust anyone or any dodgy looking link on the internet. Nothing personal.

I will get around to all the edits eventually. I am only human. I will get there.

Once again, I am not posting links to leaks because I can't guarantee if they're going to be there by the time this post goes up. At this point, you're all better off just searching them yourself and seeing if they're online at all right now. Or if you just want a general list of what we know definitely exists as of right now, this is it.

if you want things like covers, they are on a separate list that I also need to get around to updating. I will do it eventually. As Taylor Swift would say, I have a lot going on at the moment.

Okay, back to the cold room.

A lot of PATD lore in one picture.

  1. Jon Walker (ex-bassist of PATD, used to work with The Academy Is before meeting PATD when they were the supporting band)

  2. Ian Crawford (ex-touring guitarist of PATD from 2009-2012)

  3. Adam Siska (auditioned to play bass for PATD after Dallon left and also toured with Carly Rae Jepsen who has the same touring manager as PATD and TAI)

  4. William Beckett (lead singer of TAI, covered 'Northern Downpour', and asked Ryan to feature on [a couple of his solo songs](https://youtu.be/\_dykOUJ30TA))

Before anyone asks, unless Common Revolt has got spies at Dreamworks, I have no idea where the hell they got this from. This wasn't common knowledge or even deep fandom lore knowledge. This is entirely new knowledge, that no fans seem to know about.

Prettyoddfever talks about it here: https://www.tumblr.com/prettyoddfever/815701095952302080/literally-wtf-nonsense-is-this-person-even

My guess is that they got confused with another song with another band. Possibly Weezer's 'My Best Friend' getting rejected from Shrek 2.

Because unless someone has heard it from Brendon in an interview or someone else associated with the band... I don't know how they have gotten this information.
