Always looked like a giant trailer on stilts to me but still cool.

The patent numbers tell me it’s a 1945 NuGrape soda bottle. Almost perfectly preserved for 80 years.

Tsin Kletzin in Chaco Culture National Historical Park.

The last couple of pics (13/14) are of Pueblo alto from Tsin Kletzin. 15-18 are of Casa Rinconda. 19 is Pueblo Bontino and 20 is the welcome center.

The drive into Chaco is BRUTAL but the area is absolutely worth the trip. We decided to go to the south mesa because you can tell it is rarely visited. Sure enough, we were the only ones on site. The ingenuity and willpower of these people is absolutely astounding and humbling. Second time in the park and I will be back!

Found this bad boy while hiking yesterday.

Shocked it hadn’t been mouse chewed. I’ve never found an intact “European mount”. They are always used by the rodents to sharpen their teeth. Do you think it needs to be degreased? It’s got some staining. Will the sun help bleach it?

My Selenicereus grandiflorus is going off tonight.

Almost missed it. Legit sat straight up in bed and then bolted outside. So glad I remembered!

Amateur rockologist checking in here! These are some of my finds from the creek yesterday.

Central Arkansas finds. I think two are petrified wood and the smallest is a bark imprint from a Lepidodendron? I love the striped one too. What do you guys think?
