Help me pick: 2024 Q5 PHEV CPO — Premium Plus vs Prestige ($900 difference)

Hey everyone, torn between two 2024 CPO Q5 55 TFSI e options and could use some feedback—especially from anyone with kids or experience with the air suspension.

Option 1: Premium Plus (~$44.5k OTD)

Color: Black / Okapi Brown leather

Packages: Warm Weather Pkg, Black Optic Pkg, 20" wheels w/ All-Seasons

Original MSRP: ~$67.4k

Option 2: Prestige (~$45.4k OTD — +$900 difference)

Color: Glacier White / Black interior

Packages: Prestige Pkg, Sport Plus Pkg, Black Optic Plus

Tires: Summer performance tires

Original MSRP: ~$74.7k

The original MSRP gap was over $7k, so getting a Prestige w/ Sport Plus for $900 more feels like a no-brainer on paper.

My main hesitations:

The Seats & Kids: We have young kids. Sport Plus swaps the full leather for Dinamica suede inserts (and deletes seat ventilation). How is Dinamica to maintain with kids compared to standard leather?

Suspension: How big of a difference does the Adaptive Air Suspension actually make on the heavy PHEV platform over rough roads?

Tires: Prestige comes on summer tires, so I'd need to budget ~$1300 for all-seasons soon.

Which one would you go with? Thanks!

[Deal Check] 2026 BMW X5: Brand New xDrive40i vs. 5.6k-Mile Loaner sDrive40i (NC Quotes)

Hey everyone, looking for a deal check on two quotes I have in hand for a 2026 BMW X5 in North Carolina. Trying to decide if the ~$4.2k price gap makes the loaner worth it or if the new one is the clear winner. Both are offered at 0.9 APR and pretty much match all the key packages (DAAP, Premium, Climate Comfort & Parking Assistant, Massaging - Loaner)

Option A: 2026 X5 sDrive40i (Retired Loaner)

  • MSRP: $79,275
  • Actual Mileage: 5,616 miles
  • Drivetrain: sDrive (RWD)
  • Dealer Discount: $11,000 (~13.9% off MSRP)
  • Rebates: $1,000
  • Pre-Tax Vehicle Price: $67,275
  • Admin / Doc Fee: $899
  • Taxes & Non-Tax Fees: $2,188.22
  • Total Out-The-Door (OTD): $70,362.22
  • Financing Rate: 0.9% APR for 60 months

Option B: 2026 X5 xDrive40i (Brand New)

  • MSRP: $79,850
  • Actual Mileage: 5 miles
  • Drivetrain: xDrive (AWD)
  • Dealer Discount: $7,985 (10.0% off MSRP)
  • Rebates: $1,000
  • Dealer Accessories Fee: $698
  • Doc / DMV / E-File Fees: $839.25 ($698 doc fee)
  • Taxes: $2,197.83
  • Total Out-The-Door (OTD): $74,600.08
  • Financing Rate: 0.9% APR for 60 months

Which deal would you go with? Should I push Option A to 18%–20% off and ask them to throw in CPO status, or push Option B to wipe out the $698 accessories fee and target an 12%–14% pre-incentive discount?

2026 KIA EV9 GT Line - NC- 24 months- 10K - O Down - Rate my lease

Hi everyone, please rate my lease offer. The deal looks pretty good to me overall, but I really do not want to pay for the $1,594 "U-Protect" add-on.

Here is the breakdown from the quote:

  • MSRP: $76,785
  • Dealer Discount: $4,607 (approx. 6%)
  • Rebates: $15,300
  • Add-ons: $1,594 (U-Protect - trying to get this removed)
  • Term: 24 months / 10k miles
  • Payment: ~$805/mo with $0 Cash Down ($805 Total Drive-Off)

Is a 6% dealer discount and $15.3k in rebates on par with the current market in North Carolina? Any tips on negotiating the U-Protect off the table? Thanks!

Got to demo drive the R2 today! Quick thoughts + raw pics

Hey everyone, finally got to do my R2 demo drive today at Knightdale, NC location. Staff is great. Excuse the bad photos, I’m terrible at taking pics lol, but wanted to share some raw shots.

Honestly, I really love it. A few quick takeaways:

The drive: The pickup is absolutely insane, and the overall sound insulation is great.

Tires: I actually got to try both the 20" all-terrains and the 21" all-seasons. The 21s were barely any quieter than the 20s. If you want the ATs, just go for it, the cabin handles the noise fine.

Comfort & HVAC: Ventilated seats are excellent. The only downside is the HVAC was running a bit loud. Pretty sure the glass roof is the main culprit letting in heat, so like others have said, a good tint is going to be a day-one must for hot days.

Overall, I'm completely sold. If they send me the invite, I'm buying it. 😊
