Some of those tinies i didn't know were agates before i threw em in.

Some of those tinies i didn't know were agates before i threw em in.
This isnt the whole batch, i was taking too many pics π recipe in comments
Anyone have experience in removing specimens from concrete other than throwing it on the ground because that did not work LOL my friend and I were trying to figure out why someone would even put these in concrete or where this even came from because it was outside of our apartment complex. Most of the pieces look like quartz, I can't wait to break them free and tumble themπ
Plus a special guest at the end. Do not remember finding that one at all π
I just want the sub to know that I'm leaving because I'm tired of guess my big three
How/why did this even happen and is it concerning? I searched the sub for something similar with no luck. I try to be on top of cleaning the outside of the barrel but maybe i missed something
I got this piece from Rock Shed and it didn't look like much at the time. Weird shape, weird tink noise. I figured I'd use it as media. Well 33 days in stage 1 and it's one of my favorite pieces π
Before i collect more, is this basalt with green chert? π€
Here it is. The last for at least 9 wks. Probably more because I'm going back to VanLife. These are mostly from the rock shed. The last four pics are ones I'll most likely keep for myself π
I had to get a good cleaner if i have a good tumbler!πββοΈ made sure to get the one with knobs. Is the cleaning sound atrocious? Absolutely π©π€·ββοΈ
Hopefully a good start
Since i have/had so many rocks and only one barrel now i decided to do them all thru each stage. I have one batch left for stage 1 but i wanted to show u guys this progress π€© i need to get in the habit of doing before/after pics! The last 2 pics are an agate I'm tumbling that came from RockShedπ€
Her behavior and appetite have been completely normal thus far. It started thursday evening if i remember correctly. Her breathing does seem short. She hacks up foamy white, like egg whites texture. The pic is the biggest production, which was yesterday and she seemed fine afterwards. However the coughing/hacking started again this morning after going potty, a small treat then drinking water. She produced just a little foam and went back to bed(that's normal). She sounds a bit congested when she sighs, which is often( also normal π heaven forbid I'm noisy while she naps). Oh, i did give her 25mg of hydroxyzine friday night and that seemed all fine with maybe the exception of the big foamy hack the next morning. I dont read any signs of pain. I looked in her nose with a flashlight and dont see anything stuck in there. I wont have money to take her to the vet til the 3rd so i am starting phase 1 of freakout mode. What can i do until then?
Also I found another rock with coral colored spots and look what showed up after 24 hours of tumbling
Pics 1 thru 3 are the same rock. When i put it in stage one 24 hrs ago every spot was that coral color. I really hope every spot turns out like pic 4 π€π€π€ (it has on smaller rocks, I'm just pumped to have a big version π€©)
2011 Ford Transit Connect. Two summers ago i got caught driving in a downpour and shortly after ended up at the mechanic. New..gasket if i remember correctly, spark plugs and ignition coil(s). Last summer, another downpour, told Firestone i knew exactly what it was, they removed the water, no charge, van started right up, on my way. The next time it happened i was able to do it myself. Well here we are again...downpour a few days ago...but i wasnt even driving in it! Why/How does rain keep getting in there??! Especially this time when i wasnt driving in it(yes it was very windy). Something not sealed tightly? Water dripping from something else? Crack or cracks somewhere? If i just have to be prepared to do this every time it rains i can accept that since i dont have the money for a vehicle anyway. Thoughts?
I might be eating Ramen the rest of the month but I finally did it. I pulled the trigger and ordered the 45c π i sold my 33b and tumbl bee to a nice older guy from fb marketplace. He has DECADES of agates he is just now tumbling. He gave me a tip: look where u think no one else will because all the popular places have been picked clean. I guess hiking boots and waders are my next purchase. ππ€
