So I’ve noticed in the last few years people seem to have zero qualms watching videos/tiktok on their phone at absolute full fucking blast with zero consideration for anyone else’s ears.

I’ve become acutely aware of this behavior specifically in airports. It’s a goddamn battle trying to find a quiet space before someone sits their ass down next to me and proceeds to crank the volume up their phone like it’s a tv. I’ve had to ask no less than 5 people today to wear headphones or turn down their music. And I’m looked at like I’m the crazy one. One guy thought my request was insane. Another young guy was watching videos full blast, 3:30am no less where everyone is trying to sleep. No one thought to tell him to shut up, they all just sat there. I was like everyone can hear you and they’re all trying to sleep. Needless to say he looked at me like I had three heads.

This is a post Covid thing? Are we socially just not giving a crap these days? Is it that everyone can’t be bothered pairing earbuds to phones. Like I said I am losing my shit over here trying not to be a grump but also a TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN.

Ok just told another idiot to lower his full-blast volume down.
