First 'long' run in about 6 years. Motivated by this sub.
I have always had a run/hate relationship with running.
I used to run a lot but due to niggling injuries I pretty much went cold turkey for years and switched to the bike/gym.
Now my legs/knees are stronger than ever I've decided to slowly re introduce running to my routine. While initially it was hard not to compare my pace and data to my younger, fitter and faster self, seeing peoples achievements on here has really reminded me of what it's all about.
It doesn't matter if it's someone's first 5 or 10k, first sub 30 5k or someone first time running for 10 minutes straight... Running is hard and you should all be proud of your achievements. Keep up the amazing work everyone!
My wife and I managed to get tickets to 3 games. Surely we have to see at least one good team. Fingers crossed for an Australia game. Now the longgg wait.
