Can someone please explain populism to me?

It's the go to descriptor for a bunch of parties in the UK at the moment, but I'm kind of stuck on what makes one democratic proposal popular enough to get elected, but not populist?

Well, here's an adventure seed...

Two paratroopers jumped in tandem with an intensive care nurse [Healer mystic] and a specialist doctor [Desperate times envoy]. Medical supplies were also delivered.

Just gotta figure out rules for paradrops...

The cryo-pike is just a zero knife on a stick, so why can't I I strap my force knife or neural whip to a stick?

A kirigami unfolding stock upgrade option for pistols would be nice, although probably unnecessary. Most pistols have a bigger variant released already.

Interesting as it's a gathering of experts on hygrothermal stuff, and they are struggling with old decisions and layers in their own houses

Was messing around with a Disney Princess build, based on the idea Snow White did die after eating the apple, so she came back a corpsefolk, and has been around a few centuries since.

(Human/corpse folk, animal trainer background, rhythm mystic high cha build, speaks dwarf).

But it made me realise despite the multiple ways to be an undead pc, and the big deal of void Vs vitality baked into many classes, and Exolians and Zo! Being a major bit of setting, there's not really any support for sci-fi necromancy.

I know necromancer in pf2e is still on play test, and starfinder 1e didn't touch it, but what would a sci-fi voidbender or bone-sage / nevrovite look like to you?

A literal napkin sketch, thinking about extending my bike to fit a heavier toolbox on the back.

Show us your shitty solarpunk related art!

The sub is being pretty inconsistent on this. On the one hand we have a lot of people angry about corporate generative llm, with a major reason given being the destruction of (their hoped for) creative employment in the slow unwinding of the capitalist societies most of us live in. It's not the only reason given, but it's key to the topic of this thread. Making a living as a creative in the current world.

We have game makers and various book publishers post here reasonably often. I've even shared some relevant crowdfunders here myself. Generally those posts get a warm reception. People seem to be excited about professional and semi professional contributions genre.

I'm lucky enough to have other skills I get paid for, and I'm able to release most of my creative stuff free, often open source (and still have time to do janitorial work here). While I try and live the broader life I want to be dream into existence (prefiguration) I am intensely aware it isn't that easy for most of the planet.

So it's a bit perturbing to get so many modmail messages complaining about posts that, at the bottom, have a link to a patron, substack or similar freemium model. One literally complained about capitalism. There's plenty of writers using that model in the here and now, after the destruction of a lot of paid media jobs over the last decade. Do people prefer they do the work in long form YouTube videos, paid for through corporate adverts? Or that solarpunk art is limited to those, like me, who can afford to give it away?

I get that long term, art for the live of it, and ubi or equivalent to cover the day to day. But are we enforcing that as binary thing now? Right now?

Really?

I'm playing a possessed vending machine soldier (oroccoran/xenoandroid). I'm focusing on medical feats, and only expecting to get to level 3 or so.

Thematically (and modelling wise) id prefer to be beefy and soak damage rather than have heavy armour. Any suggestions on where to start?
