Strattera + Concerta (brand name) Combo

Hi there! Looking to see if anyone has tried this combo or is currently on it and can provide their experience!

I’ve been on 40mg of Strattera for about 2 months now. I adjusted to a few side effects I had at the start (mainly just drowsiness, interrupted sleep and unpleasant nightmares) and very quickly have seen improvements in my emotional stability and impulsive behavior. Impulsive behavior being wiped out especially has been amazing.
My ability to deal with RSD also has been slightly better. A friend has also told me I seem calmer in general.
All in all, I’m very happy to be on Strattera and have it work for me and would like to keep taking it.

I am still struggling however with task initiation, motivation and concentration. These are clearly harder to deal with than the above, and am wondering if the addition of a low dose of Concerta would be an option.

I am on Strattera because I originally tried Concerta (generic) 18mg and Vyvanse (generic) but the physical anxiety & rise in HR they both caused was too much for me and I was taken off them after about a week. I did however immediately feel Concerta help my task initiation and focus.

I moved countries and Concerta (brand name) is the only stimulant available here. It’s my understanding that there is quite a big difference between generic and brand name, so I was wondering if I could try a dose lower than 18mg of brand name Concerta together with Strattera.
I’ve also read that amphetamines can counteract Strattera though.

If anyone has experience with this or has any knowledge on it I’d love to hear it. I’ll be visiting a new psych within the month to see whether to up in my Strattera dose to 80mg or add in Concerta.
Thanks!!!

Consensus on Adam Warlock viability in s9.5?

So for my CREDENTIALS I reached top 100 Adam worldwide in season 8, and soloQ climbed up to Eternity with Adam only on a 80% winrate over season 8 and 8.5. I was having a blast with him and was so excited for s9 with his charge shot healing change.

And then I played him.. From s9 onward I feel unless you're running triple or have Ultron on your team as your anchor slave, he's more often than not just unable to keep up with healing. Adam got a boost but everyone else got a GIGA boost. The only times I feel it viable is if your team can steamroll or the enemy are basically bots, but if the fights are at even a little bit of a standstill and not a complete stomp Adam is STRUGGLING. End up having to focus on being a healbot and can't do what he was great at - getting picks for the team on top of his heals.
The ult charge nerf also means he can't get a consistent rez for each teamfight (something that gave him so much more value). Meanwhile jubilee can do this no problem because of her healing and dmg output (which is what builds ult charge as a strat much much faster) and I've been abusing that instead.

I'm wondering if anyone else has felt this way or it's just me because I haven't been able to evolve my gameplay style given the new s9+ changes?

Granted I skipped ranked this season because I've been so disappointed with his performance in QP alone and am waiting for s10, but I'd love to know if this is felt across the adam mains community or I'm just washed af

Unmasking with ADHD and how to go about it?

Hi guys! I'm 30/F and have finally been diagnosed with ADHD (C-type) after multiple years of misdiagnosis & treatment for other things. It's been a wild ride. Currently on my vyvanse journey and it's going well! Browsing reddit has been incredibly helpful to manage my expectations about medication and not feel so alone with my lifelong struggles.

I've been masking my whole life and I want to become more comfortable with myself. I know masking is a huge thing with Autism as well and how that may look , but I wanted to know what that means for you?

As someone with ADHD, how do you unmask? Is it about mindset? Reconnecting with your younger self?

P.S couldn't decide between the tips & tricks or misc.question tag and its gunna overwhelm me so I chose anyway sorry if its wrong!!

Being swapped off Concerta

Hi guys! I just want to share my short experience with Concerta for reference!

For context: I'm 30/F.

Suspected ADHD, been misdiagnosed both with Bipolar(1) and Aspergers over my life. I've been treated for severe insomnia that came about early teens (brain doesn't turn off) for most of my 20s, but I don't need the equivalent of a tranquilizer for it anymore.

I was put on 18mg of generic Concerta last week.
I felt some small improvements in my task management and felt slightly more cheery, but mainly I had jitters/ "physical" anxiety in my chest the whole time it was active in my body. Also sweaty palms spaghetti!!!!! Was noticbly warmer and appetite completely shot too though I was on top of eating high protein meals especially for breakfast with the meds.

My blood pressure was stable, but unfortunately my resting heart-rate was raising to a steady 85 on the meds. When I'm not on meds my resting heart rate can go as low as 43. (No heart issues btw - tested multiple times over my life, just very lucky with my cardiovascular health)

Anyway, though I assumed the jitters would subside as I've read that's a very common adjustment symptom, my heart rate rising that much consistently was an immediate NG from my psych and he's swapped me over to Vyvanse.
I'm a little bummed, as I'm moving abroad soon and Concerta is the only medication legally available there currently, but I'll figure it out.
I highly recommend when starting Concerta you get a blood pressure monitor (i got a $30 one off Amazon). If I didn't have that I'd probably still be on Concerta or my dose might have been raised.

Extra random BS throw-in comment:

Competitive games have always been one of the main reliable dopamine sources I leech from.
You know when you clutch a game and your heart races? Well on Concerta it was like that the second I got into game, instant fight or flight mode!!! Crazy and affected my performance, though I also noticed the games were less interesting to me too but that could be because of the uncomfortable jitteryness + elevated heartrate. Hoping I won't have this same side effect on Vyvanse thanks to the different release mechanism....
