how much cash should i bring?

hello all! i’m staying at an all inclusive resort very soon (my first time outside of the US!) and i’m still undecided on how much of my spending money i’m going to take out in USD/RD.

i’m limiting myself to $600 (i don’t plan on taking all $600 out in cash). i’ll be there 5 days, 4 nights. my travel agent, plus everyone else i’ve spoken to, has said to definitely bring some smaller US bills for tipping. i’m just unsure of exactly how much, as well as whether or not i should go the extra mile and also exchange some USD for RD.

i’m more-so worried about how far my USD will actually get me when it comes to spending outside of tips here and there. then again, i worry i may overestimate how much RD i’ll need, and exchange too much… can you tell i’m nervous and overthinking this? lol. anyways, any insight helps!

what do brain zaps feel like?

i’ve been on lexapro for like 6 or 7 months now (1 month 10mg, the others 20mg). i just don’t feel it’s working for me, so i started weening off about a week ago by going back to 10mg, then hopefully after some time i’ll be able to take them every other day or so until i’m off completely. i skipped my dose last night on accident, and i’ve felt off all day today.

about an hour ago, while walking through my house, i noticed i was really light headed, but chalked it up to being tired. then, almost immediately, i started feeling these weird “pulses” (?) in my head that kind of shot directly down my body? they don’t like… hurt, or anything? they’re just weird/uncomfortable and make me feel like i’ve got crazy vertigo or i’m gonna pass out.

it didn’t click to me until just now that it may be related to the sudden change in dosage + accidentally skipping a dose last night. however, i’ve never experienced a “brain zap” before, and i’m not sure if they’re different for different people you know.

hopefully this is in fact related to me missing my meds, and not something else that i’ll need to discuss with my doctor, lol (although, it will likely be brought up anyways for good measure). any insight is helpful, thank you!
