I was just wondering how people felt about Michelle Khare’s taekwondo journey. In her ‘Challenge Accepted’ series she became a black belt. Recently she added trying to go to Nationals and competed today.

I keep getting they/them-ed

I use she/her and he/him pronouns, usually present fem or androgynous, but my friends- both queer and ally, always use they/them for me. There’s like two people who use she/he interchangeably. There’s a sentiment to them using they/them, making an effort to go out of their way to acknowledge the nonbinary of it all and use a different pronoun but like… it’s still not my pronouns. Whenever I joke about how they use the wrong pronouns, they laugh and brush it off, defending it saying they use it for everyone to be safe. But like lowkey that reason doesn’t help. Idk… I feel bad about being bothered by it. I don’t know how to go about clarifying that I use she/he, or maybe I’m being OD and it’s really not that big of a deal.
