Bugs in your apartment???

Hi everyone. I need some help and I don’t know what to do.

My biggest fear is bugs. A normal house spider, fine, an ant, fine.

However if I sign onto one more lease that has a roach infestation or “water bug” (that’s just a water roach) then I might lose all grip. Genuinely in the most serious way I feel so lost (currently sobbing).

Please if some of yall could let me know where you’re at and if you notice bug problems with the building. I know 99% of the time it’s not the person.

I’ve been looking at Wingover a lot. Do you guys have roaches??? Or “water bugs”???? I’m so beyond mortified. I know this is a weird post.

Please if anyone could drop and let me know that you don’t have roaches. But if you live in Wingover and you do please pm me. I know there’s self-shame in saying it but please I’m begging pleading with you. Or if you live somewhere else you can pm me, too.

Is this mold/mildew?

This is behind my shower wall. To me, this is obviously mold/mildew. Smells earthy and moist. There’s been a leak to the floor below me anytime the shower is used for months. Caulking/Tile is messed up in the shower. Landlord is fighting me about it and doesn’t think this mold test will come back. A plumber did come out and say the shower was unsafe due to potential crumbling of the floor, because the ceiling underneath was literally soggy.

Tell me I’m not crazy?

how do i live after this

i cannot describe to anyone the point at which I hate roaches and cannot live like this. i believe i have found asian roaches. i literally just moved into a very old building attached to several other commercial and residential properties. i’ve reached out to the landlord and will begin the move out process. there is no salvation. ARE THESE IN MY FURNITURE NOW !?

I BEG OF YALL how do i make sure my belongings are not completely covered in these when I go to move. i have two cats so I’m planning on throwing out all the cat trees. but my bed. my f bed. what do i doooooooo?????? i have a faux leather chair, am I cooked??? it was literally 1400 will they be in there forever?????? MY COUCH??? DO I THROW AWAY MY COUCH NOW???

I’ve been physically sick over this tonight and i don’t know how im going to sleep and also my shower tiling was messed up so it’s entirely black molded out on the inside to the floor underneath like shower floor is crumbling/caving and there’s a massive me-sized hole in my wall WHERE I KNOW THEY ARE WAITING FOR ME IN THERE.

also, what is the best thing to kill/stop/lessen them while I wait for the legal process of moving out ???

plz what do I do besides poop liquid

other info: Illinois. Yarn business on the floor beneath me. One unit above me with a cat. Will they be affected by a bug bomb? Will a bug bomb not work if their openings are not sealed?
