Why have I overlooked suction cups for so long?

I needed something to hang my dish cloths on, so they could dry out. At first, I thought about using tape, but then I realized that I could probably attach them with suction cups so I could easily remove them when I’m cleaning… and it worked perfectly!

I’m definitely going to consider using suction cups more often in my projects where it makes sense!

Has anybody had an M.2 slot die on their NUC?

I’ve been using my Intel NUC10 i7 as a server for about 5 years. One day, all my VMs went down and I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out that my M.2 that was acting as their storage wasn’t being recognized anymore. I’ve tried reseating it and updating the BIOS, but I can’t get it to be seen by the BIOS anymore.

The drive still works fine when plugged into the USB-C port with an external enclosure and the SMART tests come back at 100% health.

Has anybody experienced this before? I don’t see any physical damage to the connector or any solder joints. The drive does seem to sit slightly loose in the slot when plugged in, but I believe that’s how it has been for the last 5 years.
