LPG Surrender

I have just submitted a LPG surrender request on the website

They are saying I will be receiving a call anytime and they will come home and collect the cylinder and will give me a receipt and return me the due amount

Could anyone tell me

  1. how much amount will I receive on surrendering my LPG.

  2. what paperwork I have to submit.

  3. what paperwork do they give me after surrendering.

  4. any scams that can happen and precaution I have to take.

  5. when to expect return call and rest of the procedure initiation?

Do Police Verification Officers Really Ask for Bribes?

I'm planning to apply for a normal passport in Delhi (the ₹1,500 passport with 36 pages).

A friend told me that during police verification, some officers may ask for a bribe to complete the process. I'm not sure how common this is, so I'd like to hear from people who have recently gone through the passport application process.

If you've gotten a passport in Delhi:

- Did anyone ask you for a bribe during police verification?

- If yes, how much did they ask for, and how did you handle it?

- Is there any way to avoid paying or report such requests if they happen?

- Apart from the official ₹1,500 passport fee, were there any other legitimate and hidden charges that you had to pay?

I'd appreciate any recent experiences or advice. Thanks!

Got scammed by bank for government schemes

About 10 days ago, I visited my bank because I wanted to cancel a scheme/yojana that was linked to my account. The bank staff told me to write an application and include details such as my account number, date of birth, and other required information. I completed the application and submitted it on the same day.

However, on 1 June, money was still deducted from my account. I had already expressed my concern that submitting only the application might not be enough, but the bank staff assured me that it would be fine.

I also cannot log in to the scheme's portal to cancel it myself because my mobile number is not recognized there. The bank informed me that the scheme can only be cancelled by visiting the branch.

When I asked when this scheme was opened, they told me it had been active for about two years. I do not remember opening it, and as far as I know, I never filled out any form to enroll in it.

What should I do now? Any advice would be appreciated.
