Mouse droppings in a bag of knitting I found in the garage
I found a bag of knitting my mom had in her garage as we were cleaning it out.
We found some mouse droppings in there!
She has passed away and I want to keep the baby items she had knit.
The items are likely made of wool that I fear will shrink if I wash in the hottest water.
I put the items in a new garbage bag, and would like to wash them so I don't have to throw them out.
Is this a pipe dream?
I have no idea if the amount of droppings matters?
There does not seem to be any urine, but, when we dumped the bag out onto a sheet to look through everything and we got to the bottom - we noticed about 10 droppings that we are sure were mouse droppings.
Not the smartest of moments for both me and my sibling as we also SNIFFED deeply a few of the items as we worked through the bag before we saw the mouse droppings, sort of hoping to catch a whiff of her (we are newly without her!)
We have both changed clothes which we will wash on the hottest cycle, showered etc... but now... what the heck can I possibly do with the baby items ? Looking for advice from those more in the know!
