Big Day in our Frontier Life

Submitted the payoff amount payment today. Just squeaked that in before hitting 50k miles which should happen on the work commute on Tuesday. Super pumped with this 2024 P4X.

2026 Wilderness - Hitch needed for bike rack

Hi all. We drove home our first ever Forester last Sunday. River Rock. Don’t even have a click bait photo yet!!

Time to get a tow hitch, primarily but not exclusively for bikes.

Even the dealership salesman said not to buy the Subaru option. It prices out over $2k with harness.

We would potentially use the hitch for e-bikes so looking for Class III options.

What are your recommendations (besides U-Haul or other basic installations? Which aftermarket hitch gives the nicest cleanest install and keeps the receive as high as possible off the ground?

I saw this one and it doesn’t look too bad (and it works on a 2026 despite the link title).

Thanks in advance!

Costco Pricing Good or Not

Hi. Has anyone bought their Passport through Costco pricing? What discount did you get? Thanks in advance. Understanding the Costco discount before we engage the dealer would be very helpful. We are shopping for a 2026 Trail Sport or TSE - just want a sunroof… and it seems like it needs to be at least a Trailsport trim level in order to get a sunroof/moonroof.

Has anyone been able to order Domane SL Gen 5 through their LBS?

Trek fans, I’m hearing that ordering a carbon Domane SL may be possible from a local bike shop, with delivery in early August. Could anyone confirm? Thanks in advance.

Love the commute… love keeping my bike with me in my office.

There is something oddly cool about looking over and seeing my bicycle waiting to head out the door at quitting time!

Commute to Tyson Corner - budgeted time required

How long would I need to budget for commute to TC from Catonsville on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday? I normally arrive at work at 645 am and leave at 630 pm (workout gym in am before work).

Currently living in Frederick and that time of day I budget 70 minutes each way. Wondering how much worse it will be from Catonsville. It appears to be about the same 45 miles.
