Ok hello r/BadBosses.
I posted something about this a few months back to get some advice for a job I had at the time just got hired for.

The first MONTH.. after working there, I had still received no paycheck or update of when i would get my paycheck. I have since learned a lot from my coworkers and family.

I decided to stay and see how things would go, and just as I thought this has continued to get worse. He NEVER pays me on time, has bullshit excuses (photos posted above from our messages). for why he can’t pay me on time and owes me money he “forgot” to factor into my paycheck. I have started tracking the dates I get paid, and all my hours, and every 2 weeks I have to send my boss a text about the money he owes me, and then normally I wait 2 days to an entire WEEK for him to pay me after I text him about it.

My manager is about to quit because our boss doesnt seem to be doing anything in the best interest of us, and his business. He runs things very unprofessionally and just doesnt seem like he knows what the hell is going on ever. My favorite manager (the only reason I even get paid) is now about to quit if his ultimatum is not fulfilled, and if he quits I know I will no longer to reach out to him to ask my boss to pay me on time, since he is normally the middle man that gets my boss to pay me, when I have already been begging for my check for days with no response.

One thing I am worried about with quitting though, is not getting paid for my remaining checks after quitting, and the fact that I will either have to beg for them like I do now, OR bring this to my family lawyer to solve, which will make this exhausting.

I have began talking to my family about this and am contacting my family lawyer to start looking into this and help me out with the process to make sure me and my coworkers get paid what we are owed on time, and to make sure everything he is doing with his business is fully legal… because I can name a handful of things off the top of my head that I know are already extremely illegal.

1. no paycheck schedule/on time pay

2. if he is not paying us on time he is probably not paying his taxes properly.

3. allegedly money laundering. (constant loss of money/ always losing more than we make, and still has not closed or filed for bankruptcy)

4. owes my under 18 coworkers 100’s of dollars.

5. pay retaliation if you piss him off..

\^that is just what I can think of. I am planning on quitting as soon as I get home from a month long school trip, so hopefully I will maybe get paid what I am owed over the course of being gone, and will not have to take legal action against him for not paying me what is owed after I quit. This is over all very sad to me because I do really enjoy what I do, but its become more unenjoyable when I am being taken advantage of and basically treated like I volunteer for charity.

I am also hoping to take the steps to report him to my state federal labor department. I found out that they have a hotline that I can anonymously report him to for investigation, which I had been worried about in my last post… but i suppose with me quitting it wont matter if im anonymous because I wont be working there any longer.
I do want my coworkers to be helped though, because I fear only my manager and I will quit and then everyone else will stay and more people will unknowingly get hired into this charity work mess.

The last photo attached was his lame excuse for not paying me even tho i gave him notice a few days in advance… yes money doesn’t hit the bank over the weekends but it does not mean you cant still process my paycheck over the weekend…
Almost a few minutes after I sent the last message reminding him.. his notifications went to do not disturb😐this is so aggravating.

ok long story short,, I was in an extremely toxic abusive relationship from ages 15-18.

He would bite me, hit me, tackle me to the ground,,, degrade me. yk all the normal abuse tactics. I finally balled up and left him a year or 2 ago but he consistently hits me up every 3 months… almost on the dot… fake numbers.. blocking me on socials so I cant block him back, such as on my tiktok,, im assuming so he can hold the power of being able to unblock me and text me whenever he pleases. its so obnoxious and idrk what to do.

Not to mention he called me on christmas eve on some psychotic break yapping abt how someone left a dead bird at his doorstep… (not me) and how it was 100% me and he would come to my house and murder me and my family and pets bevause of it,,

or yk other tactics like threatening revenge p*rn of me as both a minor and a legal adult. I have spoken to the cops about it and filed a report but nothing came of it cuz he never ACTUALLY posted lewd photos of me, nor did the threats he made happen over text so I have no proof. only the call transcript which I begged the cops to go into my phone and pull. to sum it up the cops just told me to let it happen and then I could press charges and he could be arrested for terrorist threats or whatever other illegal thing he does to me.

Prior to the murder threats by a few days he even went as far as to post random photos of me online claiming i was his gf, all while HAVING A GF STILL??I am so god damn tired of ts. ive been over it for 2 years and I want him to be gone forever out of my life. the cops wont help me.

I feel like im overreacting but none of my tattoos have EVER bled this much so shortly after an appt, and I have a pretty good amnt of tats. I got my lower thigh and entire side of my calve done today but only the calve is bleeding like this? Just making sure everything is ok! let me know plss
