ISO: Hot Wheels tracks
As stated, I’m looking for some Hot Wheels tracks to play with my toddler. We’ve got a decent car collection going, now we need to launch them!

So I built up some new wheels for a friend, Paul bolt on hubs w/ Pillar rainbow spokes and some old, but decent Mavic 26” rims. The rims were in overall good condition, minimal wear and straight, except one valve hole had been attacked with seemingly a dull step-drill bit… Not homies fault, just how he received em. Anyway, I couldn’t rest knowing this was the case, so I set out to fix it with my 3d printer. I modeled a simple insert to take up the space and give a nice presta sized hole again. Printed from TPU and then simply taped over as normal.
Had a full credit day yesterday, riding 2 laps of the world famous Downieville Downhill trail! We did shuttle with Downieville Outfitters, who I highly recommend! Even so, 30+ mi of Sierra single track descending has me feeling cooked this morning..
I love this bike, Soma Juice v2. It’s so unassuming but yet really keeps up in the tech when I needs to. Only issues I had was 3x rear flats on Specialized Eliminator Grid Trail. Pretty disappointed, I’m happy with the way that tire rides but it did not like the sharp chunky stuff…
MJet Ragnarok boat, towed by a Redcat (Gen8) IH Scout II crawler.
I printed the boat and built it last Fall, but only recently got it properly powered with a HW 120a ESC, and 1800kv motor on 3s. Then I knew I needed to tow it, and the Scout has the grunt for it! I bought the trailer files and printed from PETG with TPU bunk pads. All new bearings and stainless hardware with brass inserts, and some beater busted Tamiya tires for now. Maybe later get some proper trailer tires.
Anyways, just gave it a little test drive this evening, hopefully a proper launch this weekend. I need to print a drop hitch for proper ride height, though I’m a bit suspect that the PETG hitch will hold up to off road trailering?!
So yeah, I’m making a boat trailer for my MJet printed boat, and I wanna pull it behind my Redcat Gen8. The car already has a receiver hitch installed, and I’ve used it for mounting flags.
What trailer hitch are y’all using? A ball type? Pintle? Something else? Bonus points for DIY ideas, but I’ll also accept if there’s something that’s just too good not to buy…
