I just attempted to install an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X on my B450M DS3H mainboard.

It wouldn't boot at all.

What do I do?

How do I resolve this before I end up with a laptop I can't do any updates on?

I am using Logos with Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. When I load Logos often it makes my PC freeze because it takes too much memory. It certainly slows it down a lot and Logos itself runs very slow.

I'd like to use it but I it's problem when I do. How do I fix this?

In my software I have : Logos 10 Free Edition v45.1, Logos Bible Study App (via Wine) 27.03.0.0026, and Ou Dedetai.

All of them seem to be a problem, taking some time to load and often crashing my system, though I think 26.04 handles this better, warning me that it is taking too much memory.

Is there another Linux version? Or how do I improve it's use of resources?

Does anyone know of a music player that works on multiple platforms that I can use to sync music across devices?

I just upgraded to the above. I cannot get Thunderbird to make a sound or send notifications to my desktop though I have played with both settings.

I made the mistake of trying to install Foxit PDF Reader because it was the best Windows app for PDFs I found, but it won't run on Ubuntu.

I just want to get rid of it but it doesn't appear in App Centre and I can't find a way to get rid of it.

Even though the microphone of various wired headsets show up in the System I cannot get it to record voice through the mic on the headset.

As a low-tech Ubuntu newb I'm thinking about installing Ubuntu 26.04 onto my Ubuntu 25.10 desktop PC. I have an AMD Ryzen 3 chip with 16gb of RAM.

Is it worth it? How do I go around it?
