Best mid-range Android phone for photography?
Hi everyone, I’m planning to upgrade my Android smartphone (currently using a Redmi Note 8 Pro), and I’m looking for advice on the best device in the €300-€400 range (I live in Italy, that's the reference market). My priorities are:
- Camera: This is the most important thing. I want the best photos possible. I don’t care much about a telephoto lens, but the images need to be sharp with vibrant colors. This goes for both the main camera and selfies.
- Battery life: It needs to be decent (my current phone still lasts over a day after 7 years!).
- Memory: At least 8GB of RAM and a minimum of 128GB storage.
- Usage: I don’t game, so high-end gaming performance isn't a priority.
From what I’ve seen, the main candidates seem to be:
- Honor 400
- Google Pixel 9a
- Oppo Reno series
- Redmi Note 15 Pro
I want to avoid Samsung because I feel they are overpriced and I haven't had good experiences with them. I find the ads in the Redmi interface quite annoying, even though the hardware is decent. I’ve heard great things about the Pixel and Honor, but I’ve never seen them in person.
To reiterate: the camera is the dealbreaker for me. It needs to take spectacular photos. Thanks!
