i found out recently that one of my friends is from a chicagoland suburb called wauconda (pronounced like the fictional country in black panther) and it made me chuckle. talk about your favorite suburbs or small towns.
My question is this:
Given the new rules, does LSAC now require documented proof of your date of high school graduation? Or do they just determine it based on your date of birth or some other method?
My situation is a little specific so I've had a difficult time determining how exactly it will affect my GPA.
For context: I'm from California and was in a middle college program for my junior year of high school and basically stopped showing up to all of my classes earning a slew of F's. This obviously had a very negative impact on my college GPA, but I eventually returned to school, got very good grades, and graduated with a BA.
I passed the CHSPE the summer between my junior year and what would have been my senior year of high school to graduate. I have the certificate in a box somewhere but beyond that, that's the only documented proof I have of the date I completed high school (and even then it's not clear to me that this would count as high school completion under LSAC rules? It's the exit exam and I'm not sure how that is interpreted)
This is to say, I took (and failed) a few community college classes as high school junior, graduated (?) a year early, and was a full fledged college student during what was originally supposed to be my senior year of high school. But without clarification on how LSAC differentiates dual enrollment classes, I don't know if the grades from the classes I took as a 17 year old will count or if being a middle college student counts as dual enrollment for LSAC's purposes in the first place.

I scored a 159 on my diagnostic last month and I did all of the LR drill sets on Lawhub before I really knew what I was doing. I got about ~72% correct, but I haven’t kept a wrong answer journal or anything like that. I then signed up for 7sage two weeks ago and have not done any drilling since aside from the practice questions it generates. I set my target test date for November and my target score at 180 for the hell of it, so the study plan it generated has me doing 10 weeks of “lessons” (which I assume doesn’t include extensive drilling) before 8 weeks of “practice” (which I assume does). I am still working my way through “Foundations” and this definitely seems like the unabridged curriculum.
I appreciate that 7sage strips down the exam and carefully explains each individual component and since I am working to score as high as I possibly can, I do plan on following the study plan without skipping anything. However, I am wondering if it would it be beneficial to supplement the study plan with drilling or if it would be distracting/redundant to venture too much outside of what 7sage has designed for me. Curious to see what has worked for everyone else.
I am also wondering if it’s feasible to move up my target test date to October. I’ve been consistent about studying for 2-4 hours a day and I’m hoping to keep it that way. It’s still early days but it hasn’t felt like a slog yet - I am genuinely interested in the content and really enjoy the challenge.
