hello!! i'm working on an aesthetic, spring themed discord server for danmei book clubs and finding readalongs + buddy reads! while nsfw content is not the focus, the server will be 18+ as i am in my 20s and uncomfortable joining and moderating a community with minors in it.

the server is intended to be beginner friendly for danmei as a genre, as i myself am fairly new and delving into it, and also DID/OSDD system friendly, meaning there are tools such as pluralkit, octocon, and tupperkit present! it's solely moderated by myself atm, and this is my first time running a discord server, so for now i will keep the invite here instead of on disboard.

as of may 2026, i'm reading through heaven official's blessing / tian guan ci fu vol 2, so the book club will likely start off with tgcf vol 1 or 2. i'm currently implementing a book club role focusing on trying the *first* book in a series, with a separate *series* book club role for continuing each series we start. if the book club as a whole votes to continue a series, that's allowed as well! i've noticed a lot of book clubs only cover the first book of each series rather than covering a series in its entirety, so i wanted something that marries both possibilities.

there is a suggestions channel if anyone has thoughts or feedback on this, or the server as a whole!

there is also a search channel where you can post your own book clubs, readalongs, buddy reads, servers, or ask to dm; whether that's through discord or other apps like fable, story graph, etc.

im new to reddit and storygraph, but im getting back into reading as a hobby through rereading tgcf for the first time since 2019. im interested in the readalong and buddy read functions on storygraph in particular, since i struggle with pacing and keeping up with hobbies, so i made a readalong for vol 2 here!! id love the company and community, so its open for absolutely anyone to join!!

if anyone uses other reading tracking apps or discord to do danmei bookclubs or readalongs, id love to hear about that too :) again its helpful for my executive dysfunction to have the sense of company, so its very much smth id like to try
