anchoring a horizontal load to cinder block?

I'm planning a project to install a retractable wave shade in the yard, using stainless rope and turnbuckles as the track, but one end will be anchored into a cinder block wall, and this will create a significant horizontal load, so I'm looking for the best way to anchor this. Ideally I'd like to avoid attaching a ledger board, and it's not possible to drill all the way through the block and use ready rod and backing bolts so I'm likely looking at either some kind of toggle in the cavity of the block or some screw/expanding/epoxied fastener in the solid portion and/or grout. does anyone have experience with this and would like to share some wisdom?

Big dumb boombox update!

I know how much everyone loved my very useful and well researched passive radiators so I added a bunch more, plus someone suggested isolating the mid/highs so I did that too. I've also done some testing and I can report that at max gain it puts out 109db at 1m and draws roughly 60w so at full volume I'd estimate it's runtime at 12ish hours and so at a more realistic volume I'd expect probably double that runtime.

has anyone ever installed a cassette deck in a DIY boombox?

I'm building a boombox in honor of an old friend who passed and willed me a giant box of 18650s and a box of cassettes, wondering if anyone has attempted such a thing? I don't want to put a car stereo head unit in although that might be the best way to go, but it would take up too much space, and walkman-style ones have their controls in an awkward place for install
