I get frustrated at customers calling me for updates every hour like bro, wait a minute. I'll update you when something happens. These calls keep breaking my focus. How do you guys handle this?

I feel frustrated answering all the calls amidst my ongoing work. My focus gets lost. But not answering them feels rude or unprofessional. How do you guys deal with this issue?
