LIAN LI B4-mATX Build Impressions

Thank LIAN LI for selecting me in B4-mATX build campaign, and providing me LIAN LI B4-mATX case and SP1000 sfx PSU.

#buildlikeneverb4

The building process was not difficult but you still have to plan for cable routing just like any SFF build.

Hardware I used for the build:

CPU Ryzen 5 9600X

Cooler ID Cooling IS-67-XT

Motherboard Asus Rog B650E-I

GPU PowerColor RX 9070 XT Hellhound OC 16GB

RAM G.Skill DDR5 Ripjaws S5 32GB 2x16 6000 cl30

PSU Lian li SP1000P 1000W 80 PLUS Platinum

M.2 drives

- 1TB Patriot Viper VP4300 Lite PCIe 4.0

- 256GB Dahua E900 PCIe 3.0

Fans

- 2x Arctic P14 Slim V2

- 2x Noctua NF-F12 industrialPPC PWM chromax

- 2x Noctua NF-A14x25 PWM chromax

- 2x Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM chromax

- Noctua NF-A14x25r G2 PWM (on CPU cooler)

Case Lian Li Dan B4 Wood

Unfortunately, I didn't have an mATX board on hand, which is why I used an ITX; given the large number of fans and the limited number of headers on the board, I had to add a fan hub.

I assume the whole build would have gone much more smoothly with a suitable mATX board.

Although, I could have just used fewer fans.

I'm pretty happy with the case, It offers good cooling options (maybe I'll try a 360mm AIO in it someday, if I upgrade to a more powerful CPU), sleek design, option to position it vertically or horizontally, mesh
