I think I’m about three or four weeks into my ownership of the U1 with the Miyota movement. I really enjoy wearing this piece.
Of course it is a strap monster, so I picked up this 21 mm para strap for it, and I think it looks really nice!

It is of course an 1837 Classic Head Half Eagle 5$ gold piece.
I do know the spot price of gold and the amount of gold in this coin, but I wonder if folks could chime in regarding its condition and get a ballpark figure on what it is worth.
This is an old family coin, and it will eventually go to one of our sons.
I have been a coin collector most of my life and have some fun pieces (type collector), but this is my only gold coin.

My favorite strap so far for the U1 No Date-a 22mm “Admiralty Grey” NATO. This strap compliments so many watches, imo. Particularly divers.

Love the little pinch of the 22mm strap between the 21mm lugs.
This pairing really turns it into a tool watch!

Got this one just the other day from Jason007. I purchased one before this one that had the 2813 inside and it died within about one minute of ownership.😆 so I ordered this one with the 8215 and it is running very well. -3 secs.
Aesthetically and build-wise, this one appears to be perfect.
I wore it to the office today and it was a pleasure to wear!👌🏼
