I Just Witnessed a Miracle

I've never had the upgrade droid succeed before. Hell I honestly considered the 2% chance it gives you on anything worthwhile to be a joke. But none the less I dragged my beskar KX over for the daily attempt. There was no crazy fanfare, just a little chime and suddenly it was galactic. I was shocked 😂 I guess the whole point is don't forget to use your daily attempt on something good because it might actually work.

MOVA P20 Ultra Review

I recently purchased a MOVA P20 Ultra from Amazon during the prime day sales (June 2026). At the time of purchase there wasn't a single review out there so I wanted to provide some info for future buyers to reference. I purchased it on sale for $339 and although price tracking websites only had 2 or 3 months of data this appeared to be a legitimate discount. At that moment it was actually slightly cheaper than both the previous and current gen versions of the P10 so I pulled the trigger without much info (the product description was fairly empty for the P20). Now that the sales are over its price has increased to $459.

What follows will mostly be a copy/paste of my Amazon review with some minor changes.

I've never owned a robovac before, so honestly I don't have anything to compare this to. But this thing is pretty incredible. I've only had it for a week but my floors have never been this clean. I couldn't find a single review for this particular model anywhere at the time of purchase so I wanted to provide some info.

This is most likely one of, if not the best model on the market without a camera. Which is exactly what I was looking for out of privacy concerns. The LIDAR guidance is phenomenal and it will in fact map out the home for you (something not mentioned in the description, and barely mentioned on their website).

This is a huge plus because I can send it to clean only the front hallway if my cat kicks out some litter or I track in some dirt. Plus if it's late I can lower the suction to the "quiet" setting and it's silent enough to run in an apartment at night. Basically about as loud as a large air purifier while still being strong enough to pick up 90% of what it gets in one pass on standard settings. And when I turn the suction up to max it deep cleans the rugs/litter mat in the front hall about as much as I do with a few repeat passes from a normal vacuum.

I mainly got it for vacuuming but I now realize the mopping is even more impressive. I waited a few days for the MOVA cleaning fluid to come before trying it out. But it worked incredible. No streaks and a smooth clean floor with a light fresh scent.

The waste water after two vacuum runs and the first mopping was dark grey, almost black. Mind you I deep cleaned my floors two weeks ago and they weren't noticeably dirty at all. And yes it does retract the mops when it goes onto the carpet (my rugs all stayed dry).

So in short it vacuums about as good as I do, slightly better in some ways and slightly worse in others. But that's easily made up for by the fact that it requires zero effort and can run consistently when I'm not around. But it literally mops better than I do. There's no way around that, the way it puts down, scrubs and sucks up the cleaning fluid is more efficient than a human could ever be with a mop or Swiffer.

For my 700ish square foot apartment a deep vacuum and mopping uses about 30% of it's battery life. Overall I consider it a must buy, especially if you can get it on sale. My single minor issue was I did learn that I had to manually add my thicker carpets to the map. I believe that it was detecting them as an obstacle but once I changed that it was able to crawl onto them no problem. I even saw it crawl over my desk legs like a horseshoe crab to clean behind my office chair.

If you have any questions I certainly don't mind answering them to the best of my ability. If the unit has any failures in the future I'll also be sure to come back to this post with an update.
