La Tuna Canyon (first time)

Was riding up the new protected bike lanes on La Crescenta Ave (thanks Glendale) and decided to try La Tuna. Fun ride down, not as terrifying as I thought. Will try ascending next time.

Finished Code Lyoko after 19 years

I watched it back in 2006/2007 on Cartoon Network. Never saw the last few episodes. Then in the late 2010's it was on Netflix and I was rewatching it to get caught up, but it got removed before I got to the final two episodes.

This week I saw it on Amazon Prime (for a fee) and pulled the trigger.

I liked the final two episodes (although they seemed kind of rushed). I think the flash backs were way too long and would have enjoyed a meaningful time skip, but I'm glad the ending was more or less conclusive.

I'm so happy I finally finished this series :)

Edit: Didn't know it was on YouTube. Never went actively searching for it. I would just come across it naturally (TV, Netflix, Amazon).

Maybe Metro should of made sure all their buses had working validators when launching Open Payment

Got my brother (never used metro in his life) to come with me using a local bus since he always complained about either needing cash or getting a TAP card. The bus we boarded had the new validator covered, so that was a fail, but he got a free ride (the driver ignored his fruitless attempts to use his bank card at the fare box lol), so not all bad.

Metro adding more of the new trains (HR4000) on the B/D lines. Pantograph shows 7 active sets right now.

I guess there's a lot going on today because the lot at Lincoln/Cypress Station is completely full

Haven't seen it above 50% capacity since pre-covid (and the first No Kings rally last year )

Twice already I've been charged the full 10.75 despite only going from SJ to Lawerence. Going the opposite is fine. All other clipper transactions were fine this weekend. It was literally just doing that direction twice on different days where it didn't register it correctly even tho I made sure tap on and off said "ok travel" with the green.

Guess I'm calling customer service tomorrow

Edit: It seems both transactions self resolved as of Sunday afternoon and I've been refunded the correct amount (unless customer service saw my email and took action, but idk if they work Sundays). Just to answer some questions...didn't double tap or do anything funny. It was literally only happening when going from SJ to Lawerence and happened on different days. Unfortunately I can't share screen shots via edit or comment (but if you really want to see the before and after I can dm you), but the transactions read as "San Jose from San Jose" as if I never tapped off

So I guess wait a couple of days? But it sucks since that was $13.50 less dollars on my balance during that time and Bay Area transit ain't cheap.

Gas prices are high and I still haven't gotten a bike rack for my car, so I took the long way up. Worth it to bike with my friends and not have to use my car (biked San Jose to SF).

Wasn't bad. Granted I went through in the early am (8ish) on a Sunday, so not much car traffic. Bike lanes in parts, but not all go Sepulveda. Didn't expect it to be steep starting from the valley, but once you get to the downhill part, my god.....felt like a jet.

Would do again
