Anyone with this IP 145.40.129.182?

I am having trouble with the following websites. They all time out in a browser. After a lot of investigation and working with Toob and AI I want to rule out that my CGNAT (shared) IP has not been banned.

If other users on the shared IP 145.40.129.182 also get timeouts, that would be strong proof that the IP has been banned.

Discord: @Disconsolate

I am one of those people with non-working hardware in ACR. I have added my issue to Discord and although there has been the Greece announcement nothing has been said about whether they have fixed this issue in the next release.

I would request others to post there so they understand the magnitude of the problem.

I personally think the whole controller input system is flawed just by looking at how the UI is but it really needs to be fixed soon even if this game is early access. I assume there is still some kind of beta testing for each release with a large cohort of testers.

Legion Pro 5 16AFR10 overheating

I bought my Legion Pro 5 (Ryzen 9 9955HX / RTX5070) last November as an upgrade from my 4 year old Legion 5 (Ryzen™ 7 5800H / RTX3070). I noticed it was getting very hot so I purchased a Llano V12 cooler. It brought the temps down but not as it should be. I didn't game on it for a number of months and then again tried it and again during gaming, Assetto Corsa Rally, it would average just below 90°C.

As this was a different location I bought another V12 cooler and again experienced a reduction but it was still running too hot. As the fans would also spin up at boot and sometimes just opening Chrome for example I knew there must be something wrong.

I finally logged some data from HWiNfo and looked at it on https://www.logvisualizer.app/ and then got Gemini to analyse it and it's summary was:

>"I am experiencing severe thermal throttling on my 7-month-old Legion Pro 5. My HWiNFO64 monitoring logs show a massive, abnormal 43.5 degree Celsius temperature delta between Core Complex Dies under load (CCD1 is hitting 102.5°C while CCD2 is sitting at 59°C). Furthermore, the CPU is spiking to 89°C at idle with only 3% CPU utilization, causing the fans to scream at full speed immediately upon boot-up. This is a clear hardware defect indicating a warped vapor chamber/heatsink assembly or a severely failed factory thermal pad application. I need an onsite technician to replace the thermal module.

I just got off a call with Lenovo Premium support, I allowed the technician to access the laptop and within 10 minutes he had agreed there was an issue and booked a repair. He even got me to open a link on my phone so he could take a photo of the laptop to check it hadn't been damaged.

Overall I was super impressed by his knowledge and efficiency with which he understood my issue, confirmed it to be a problem and instigated remedial action. An engineer will come Tuesday or Wednesday to replace the heatsink cooling assembly.

Game input (HID) settings flawed design (humble opinion ;-)

I am big Codies fan from the old days and I've have always thought their in-game menu systems some of the best. In Dirt 2.0 and Grid 2019 which I still play at times because they are fun, all devices (HIDs) are listed and you can bind any action to any of the controllers inputs.

I don't see how always displaying keyboard, gamepad and wheel and then binding from any number of attached HIDs can really work.

My Simsonn shifter is recognised by the binding action in the wheel section but there is no indication from the label which device is actually being bound just a bunch of either A+number or B+number which I am guessing is axis (A) or button (B).

My Simsonn handbrake shows an identical label A1, to my Simagic Alpha steering wheel which doesn't make any sense.

Even when it worked I couldn't exit the game using one of the wheel buttons but had to use the keyboard because many actions could not be bound and a back action at the home screen wasn't mapped to exit..

I really hope they consider a redesign of this part of the game. I am an ex-programmer and I can't imagine it's really that difficult. I know people are happy to use fudge and kludge solutions to get the game working but it would be nice to think the devs are really giving serious thought to how they got into this mess and how to make it on par with the wonderful driving experience.

GCam port on Poco phones

I just installed the GCam port on my X6 Pro which I've only just started using, I was using a different phone until HyperOS 3 dropped last month.

The frame by default is completely different so the Poco camera looks like a crop sensor in comparison.

Has anyone else tried it?

Both picture were taken without moving the phone just switching cameras.

Poco X8 Pro colours

I have the yellow faux leather version of the X6 Pro and unless I am travelling I use it without the TPU case it came with. It looks great and stands out from all the boring black, white, grey and dark blue phones.

How is the white version of the X8 Pro? It's available for £349 in the UK and MI just gave me a discount voucher to bring it down to £314 which considering the great reviews the 12/512 version got at £449 and that electronic devices that use RAM are supposed to be going up in price, seems like a bit of a bargain right now.
