Visiting and need advice

I am staying at a hotel right outside the Hartsfield -Jackson international airport and was wondering some cool and safe locations I could travel too. I was consistently told that I am staying in a bad area and to exercise caution, but I want to make the most of the couple days that I am staying here and was hoping I could get any advice on where to avoid and places to check out. Thanks!

Edit: just wanted to say thank you to everyone for replying and continuing to drop recommendations. I will update later this week with all my stops!!

Mini Tins God Pack and Gold Card

I bought some mini tins for my birthday and opened them with my fiancée as a celebration. We peaked. It started with me opening the Psyduck, followed immediately by the golden charizard Y, Marnie’s grimmsnarl, mega hawlucha, and the last pack was a god pack holding not only the gengar, but dragonite, pikachu, mewtwo, and iris spirit (which is one of my favorites). This will forever be a core memory for both of us.
