Can anyone shed light on if I can send midi cues (from logic) via USB out to another device via the midi out on the XR18?

Had a go last week and been reading loads from the manual and online but can’t find a concrete answer

My Chain is:

Logic (via USB) > XR18 (midi out) > Helix Rack

I’m seeing different comments on if this can/can’t be done? Having tried myself I’m thinking not as I’ve exhausted all options I can think of but have seen posts saying it can be done with XR18 but not X32 which made me think again

I’ve recently upgraded in our bands rack from a scarlet 6i6 to the Behringer XR18 but I’m having trouble with the midi automation cues working.

In theory I thought all I would need to do is wire up the same as before and change the midi in/out in logic to the XR18. But I’m at a stand still as this is still not automating the helix.

Anyone any ideas?

Setup is as follows, Mac is connected to XR18 via USB - XR18 midi out > helix rack midi in > helix rack midi out/thru > helix stomp XL midi in

I’m sure this will be something stupidly simple which is why it’s driving me insane!

All was fine using the Scarlett 6i6 with the midi but for some reason I can’t get it working now we have the XR18 in.

Any advice is appreciated
