If you live in Japan or are planning to come pass by any Daiso and buy one of those acrilic display boxes. I think it is meant to be for small figures but the size is almost perfect for the plakoros. Only 110¥!
Hello Pokémon fans!
I’m pretty new to this sub, but after a quick check I saw some projects to emulate Plakoro, and none of them convinced me, so I made one.
My basic idea with this is, to auto-update and translate all attacks, effects, and instructions for future releases. I think it’s a nice way to help the community spread the game solving the language barrier. I’m a Spanish designer living in Japan, but my Japanese isn’t good enough yet to play in Japanese, so this fixes that.
Basically you configure your Pokemon and attacks, set the dices as you want and set your opponent Pokemon. The rest is just following the instructions, selecting your attack, trowing the virtual dices and then throwing your physical Plakoro. The HP count, effects and limitations are automatically calculated to follow the oficial rules, as easy as that.
The app is meant to be a tool for playing real Plakoro not a simulator.
One thing that I love about Plakoro is that it reminds me of Gogo’s (Crazy Bones in the USA, I think). I’m a 90’s kid, so we played that a lot. I love having my little plastic Pokémon in my pocket, but carrying the energy dice and the extra energies and attacks is a pain in the ass, so this app tries to solve that. You just need to have your Plakoro, and the rest is in the app.
I think the app is quite easy to use, and it has some gimmicks like throwing dice by moving your phone and Pokémon sounds when you tap them.
Please feel free to use it, copy it, extend it, and make content about it. I just want more people to play the game and enjoy it like we did back then.
