Game Title: PokeLegacy — looking for feedback on a browser-based Pokémon roguelike

Game Title:
PokeLegacy

Playable Link: https://pokelegacy.net/

Platform:
Web browser — PC and mobile

Description:
Hey! I've been working on PokeLegacy for a while and I think I've reached the point where I need feedback from people who haven't been following the development.

It's a browser-based Pokémon fangame built around a roguelike structure. Instead of moving through routes normally, each area is a node-based map where you choose between different encounters, trainers, captures, items and other events while building your team and progressing toward the next Gym.

What I'm mostly interested in right now is the actual player experience.

Is it clear what you're supposed to do when you start? Does the map feel intuitive? Are the route choices interesting? Does progression feel too slow or too fast? Is there anything that feels confusing without someone explaining it first?

I'm also still adjusting difficulty, encounter variety and the general flow between areas, so feedback on those things would be really useful.

The game is still in development and not everything is finished yet, but there's already enough of the main progression available to get a good sense of how it plays.

If you try it, feel free to be critical. Knowing where someone gets confused, bored, stuck, or makes a choice I didn't expect is probably more useful to me right now than hearing that everything works.

No download or installation is needed. It runs directly in the browser.

Free to Play Status:

  • Free to play

Involvement:
I'm the developer of PokeLegacy. I've been working on the game design, progression, UI, balance and overall direction of the project, and I'm currently looking for outside playtesting to see how the experience holds up when someone approaches it without any prior context.

Weedle's Secret Garden!

Hey everyone!

I'm the creator of Weedle's Secret Garden, found over at https://wsgrpg.net
You may have heard of it before - it's quite an ancient one at this point. The reason I'm posting here today is because, even though we have a lovely small community, we'd always love to welcome some new people! I noticed we're up in the sticky post as well, and it's true, WSG could use some love!

Weedle's Secret Garden is a game that dates all the way back to 2008. Due to circumstances, it got shut down a few years later, only to pop back up in 2016, and has been around since then. Unfortunately the game had fallen inactive for a few years, due to personal circumstances (hello there, COVID). However, a few months ago I started updating the game again, hoping to return it to its former glory. One of the very first large updates since my return happened just a month or 2 ago; making the game mobile friendly.

The game mostly has a focus on the collecting aspect of Pokémon, offering most Pokémon up to gen 8 (and soon 9) for now, with a few variants custom to WSG:

- Shiny Pokémon, we know these!
- Neon Pokémon, these are mostly handed out through weekly promos
- Toxic Pokémon, part of our Research Lab, where a variety of tasks can lead to your own Toxic variant!
- Event Pokémon, these are usually themed around certain events

There's some sub-variants, such as Retro, which offers gen 1 retro sprites.

Other than that there's a variety of things it offers, such as, but not limited to:

- Battling, though don't expect an entire battle engine, that has been in the works and can hopefully be added in the future to make battles interesting! For now, battling merely serves to gain EXP, and in turn; ranking.
- Achievements, well over a hundred in fact, most of them made up of at least 3 tiers. Plenty of them also give permanent effects and boosts to the gameplay, rather than just points.
- More than 10 custom made maps to explore and catch plenty of Pokémon
- A custom region we've named "Evala", that offers an entire subsystem of explorable mazes that offer various rewards
- Various challenges, often locked behind a challenging achievement
- And of course.. a lovely and welcoming community

Last but not least... Just two days ago marked 10 years since the games relaunch, and just for that we'll be hosting a month long event starting on the 1st of September.

Due to the age of the game, plenty of features will look and feel old, given some date back to 2008. However, there are many plans to modernize this and any feedback is always welcome.

If you're interested, we'd love to welcome you over at https://wsgrpg.net

Pokemon Roguelike Web Game

I built a roguelike game from scratch using Next.js—inspired by games like Pokelike and Pokelite purely as a personal learning project, its non-profit and I’d love to share it with you all.

My project doesn't have the same volume of content as those other games, but I tryied to keep the game simple— and added some features like difficulty modes and mini-games(pokemon go capture with curveball). I also added easier mode for kids and recreated cutscenes as faithfully as possible (there's a Rayquaza scene from Emerald that was a real struggle, and it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, 👀 ).

All assets in the project are credited to the Pokémon brand and Game Freak.

I’d love to hear what you think;

Thanks!

(Spanish and Italian) I made a small Pokémon browser game about building your own trainer career.

I made a small Pokémon browser game about building your own trainer career — looking for feedback

You choose a starter and make decisions throughout a simulated career: leagues, titles, Pokémon, setbacks and retirement. At the end you get a trainer card and can compare your score with other players.

It takes only a few minutes to play, works on mobile, and there is no download. I’d especially like to know whether the decisions feel meaningful and whether the final trainer card makes you want to replay.

Playable here: https://hazte-con-todos.pages.dev/

I’m the developer, so criticism & feedback is very welcome

Worlddex Beta Update!

Hey everyone,

I've been building a browser-based Pokémon idle/clicker game and it's

now in Open Beta. No download, no install, no payment — you open a tab,

pick a name, and you're playing.

**What it is**

You click to find wild Pokémon, catch them, build a team, and work your

way across all nine regions. The idle part means it keeps rewarding you

while you're doing something else — but there's a real game underneath

it, not just a number that goes up.

**What's actually in it**

* **All 9 regions** — Kanto through Paldea, 461 individual routes and

locations, each with its own encounter table and level range

* **1,119 Pokémon**, including regional forms (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian)

and event forms

* **A real battle engine** — 934 moves, 1,043 abilities, full type chart,

IVs, EVs, 25 natures, held items, status effects, weather

* **Mega Evolution, Z-Moves and Dynamax**, each gated behind its own

unlock, and limited to one gimmick per battle

* **Gyms, Elite Four and Champions in every region** — 72 badges total,

and the League scales to your progress

* **109 legendary bosses**: 84 fixed ones, 14 roaming legendaries that

change location every 15 minutes, and 11 Ultra Wormholes in Alola

* **Shiny hunting** at 1/4096, plus a separate **Shadow Pokémon** system

at 1/32768 with its own hall of fame

* **Idle activities** — mining, fishing and a berry farm that produce

items on their own timers while you play or while you're away

* **Guilds** with ranks, a shared bank and guild chat

* **Global chat** with live event and rare-catch announcements

* **Daily quests**, 103 achievements, a Game Corner with slots, a

full Worlddex, and interactive region maps

**What the goal is**

Short term: catch things, beat the gym, get the badge, move on.

Long term: complete the Worlddex across all nine regions, earn all 72

badges, and hunt down the legendaries. There's a per-type collection

track too — 100/250/500/1000 catches of each of the 18 types, with

better rewards for the harder types, so a Dragon grind pays out very

differently from a Normal one.

**The daily boss rotation**

This is the part I'm happiest with. Instead of throwing 84 bosses at you

at once, the game picks **9 per day**, spread across regions, and resets

them at midnight together with the daily quests. It turns the legendary

hunt into something you come back to instead of something you clear in

one sitting.

Gym rebattels after becoming champion,

**Why you might like it**

* It's free, and there's nothing to buy. No energy meter, no ads, no

premium currency.

* It runs in a browser tab — desktop or phone, and your save is on the

server, so you can switch between them.

* It's idle when you want it to be and an actual RPG when you sit down

with it.

* It's built for people who like the mechanics. If you know what an EV

spread is, there's something here for you. If you don't, you can

ignore all of it and still have a good time.

**Fair warning**

It's Open Beta, currently v0.1.34. I'm one person, I ship updates

constantly, and bugs happen. But there's an active Discord where I read

everything, and reported bugs usually get fixed within days.

If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think — especially

what feels slow, unclear or unfair. That feedback is what the last few

patches have been built on.

For the future planed updates are: breeding, battletower, and much more story elements.

Game: https://phoenixdmx.com/Worlddex/index.html

Discord: https://discord.gg/mgdMfszEpM

Thanks for reading!

* This is a fan project, which is 100% free and non commercial!

[PriceMash] I built a site where you guess which Pokémon card costs more. You're shown two cards, you make your guess, and your rating is adjusted in proportion to the difference of price between the two cards. You can share your Streak and add friends.

There's a daily board too...same idea as Wordle. Would love to hear any feedback, questions, or whatever else you'd like to say. This site shares cross-functionality with a site I posted previously, that actually inspired this one.

Liga Pixel — free browser-based Pokémon League simulator with PvP

I made a free Pokémon fan game that runs directly in your browser:
https://ligapixel.com.br
You randomly draft a team of 6 Pokémon from Generations I–IV and try to survive 2 rivals, the Elite Four and the Champion.
Pokémon can evolve after getting KOs, defeated team members can be permanently lost during the League, and battles include abilities, status moves, STAB, type effectiveness, critical hits and tactical switching.
There’s also online multiplayer:
• Private rooms with a code for friends
• Ranked matchmaking
• PokéPoints
• Bronze → Silver → Gold → Diamond → Elite → Champion
Works on desktop and mobile and supports English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
No download required and completely free.
Liga Pixel is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company.

Pokemon Crater remake

Upcoming Pokémon game staying true to the original Pokémon Crater!

It’s still early in development, but it’s progressing incredibly fast. If, like me, you grew up playing Pokémon Crater, come show the creator some support.

They’ve put a huge amount of work into recreating that classic experience while building it from the ground up.

The project is a fan-made remake inspired by the original and isn’t affiliated with Nintendo. (Pokémon Legion)

Compatible with a mobile version also.
