Hey Function Health...

Did it ever occur to you that:

  1. People DON'T WANT a subscription-based service. They want one-time biomarker testing, review, and recommendations by a medical professional.

  2. People want to EASILY share their results with their providers.

It's really NOT THAT DIFFICULT! Your current model continues to frustrate users, and NOT live up to its potential for benefitting patients.

Coming off 4 seasons on a Levo SL. This bike has always done me well, with exception to the pathetic battery life. Shopping for a new mid-weight ALL-MOUNTAIN mid-level build. Struggling with the choices, mostly around motor choice. Maybe you can provide some insight? 5'9" tall (175cm), 32" inseam (81cm), 160 pounds (72kg) rider who likes to keep his wheels planted.

Options:

  1. Trek Fuel+ MX (TQ HPR60). This bike would be perfect except for price (>10K). Mostly Bontrager parts, which I know little about.

  2. Amflow PL (M1). I have access to a PL built with the mid/upper level parts of my choosing (Fox Performance, Sram GX, Maven Silver, DT Swiss HX 1700, OneUp carbon bar, stem and dropper). $>8K.

The issue here is frame size. I've ALWAYS been a size medium, but the out-of-stare Amflow dealer insists I'd need a size large. Amflow s website shows my height in the lower end of the Large size range. I'm REALLY hesitant on pulling the trigger on this choice without confirming sizing in person.

  1. Propain Sresh SL. This bike seems VERY appealing, especially since I can choose my build. I know little about the brand except for all the positive reviews online. The problem is that Propain is Out-of-Stock on most mid-level build parts on their website (due to popularity of the bike!).

My biggest issue is the M1 vs the HPR60 motors. I don't shuttle nor need a shit-ton of power, but like the pedal efficiency and technology within the Avinox motor. But, battery life is #1 on my things to improve on the Levo SL.

Maybe someone can clarify the differences in riding between the M1 and HPR60?

And your thoughts on choosing between the above bikes? Thanks!
