Still working over 70? Retired?
If you're not retired, I'm sure you'd like to be. Please pick the option that best describes you. Results might be used for a future discussion about how these things affect dating. Thanks!
We're not old. We're still rockin'!
The Stones are still on top of their game. It's hard to believe! Age didn't slow them down. How do you feel about being 70+? How is being 70 affecting your attitudes about dating and life? No wrong answers, just please share your thoughts.
There's no instrument like the human voice. Please share some of your favorite A Cappella songs. If you can't post a link, please share artist and song title, and someone will be along to help.😊Limit 5, please.
As of yesterday, we're over 400! Thanks for being here!
FYI, Route 400 runs all the way through Kansas, right past our house.
TGIF! The weekend is upon us. Got any plans? Doing something? Doing nothing? Going out? Staying in? Please share.
Our recent dating poll shows that over half of us are not dating, but would like to be. If you're not dating, but wish you were, what's preventing that from happening?
How do you refer to the opposite gender? How do you prefer the opposite gender refer to you? guys/gals? gentlemen/ladies? men/women? boys/girls? No wrong answers.
When I went to my 50th class reunion, I thought "some of these girls are still cute"! Later, I made reference to "cute girls" only to be criticized for calling them girls instead of ladies or women. Is it just that I've known them for so long? To me, they were cute girls then and they still are. But some women find that offensive, and some men might be upset to be called a cute boy. Is this a pride thing? An age thing? Is it how long you've known someone that makes the difference? What determines how you address someone? Are there really any rules for this? I'll call someone by their preference, but different people have different preferences for different reasons. Is there any universal term that won't offend anyone? I'm trying to learn something, so please be honest.
Where were you born, and where are you living now? Not born in the United States, or not living here now? No matter where, we'd like to know about you.😊
We're over 300 strong now. Thank you for joining us at DatingOverSeventy!
This summer seems extra hot. How are you staying cool this summer?
Tell us how you feel on the inside.
How are you feeling about the 70s?About being in "our" seventies, not "the" 1970s.😊 Happy? Sad? Excited? Pessimistic? Indifferent? Maybe lonely? Are you living in the past? Or excited about the future? No wrong answers, we'd just like to know how life in your 70s is going for you.😊 By the way, guitarist Phil Keaggy is 75 and still performing, touring, and recording. We're older, but not out to pasture.
Welcome to DatingOverSeventy!
When I first joined DatingOverSeventy (DO70), there were approximately 30 members. As of right now, this group is up to 259 members, an over-800% increase. We would like to see this group get off the runway and fly.
We don't want to be just another dating discussion group like all the others. We want this group to be distinctly different by focusing on content that is geared primarily for people who are 70+. Not just dating discussion, but also real life with all its ups and downs. We're not trying to be bigger, but we surely want to be better than the others, and we're glad you're here.
But moderators alone can't make a group great. That takes interested members who are willing to get involved. Are you interested in this group picking up speed? How can you help us gain momentum? If you're interested then we're willing to roll up our sleeves and get to work, in order to make this group the best it can be. We'd love for you to be a part of it.
Please share your thoughts with us; good, bad, positive, negative, you name it, your thoughts matter. Honest and candid conversation is welcome here, so please give us some straight talk. We look forward to hearing from you.
Being 70 is not a requirement to be here. The moderator team is currently discussing what we believe is an appropriate minimum age moving forward. But don't worry, everyone who is already here will remain a part of this group.😊 We're also working on a list of rules that will be only enough to ensure things go smoothly. Please check back regularly for updates. Thank you for being here, and we hope to grow and have fun together!
TGIF! Tell us what you've got planned! Going out? Staying in? Doing something interesting, or maybe nothing at all!
Please take our dating poll. Tell us how dating is going.
No wrong answers here, but we do ask for honesty please. Results might be helpful for picking discussion topics in the future. Thanks😊
