Why has my car's mileage decreased after a repair?

I have a 2014 Hyundai i20. It went into my insurer's repair shop for some collision damage after an uninsured driver hit my parked car. Mileage at that point was XXX68. (trying not to be identified). Petrol gauge was showing one bar over half full when it was loaded onto a low loader to go to the garage. I keep my instrument display on "miles left with current fuel", when it came back it was showing Trip A 0.4 miles and XXX69 but the fuel was now showing exactly 1/4 tank. I have photos proving both of these.

Unfortunately they hadn't completed all of the repairs so it went back on the truck to the insurer's repair shop again.

2 weeks later it came back to me again but this time the display read Trip A 0.0 miles and the mileage was on XXX68 again.

I had complained about the missing fuel so it came back to me with just over 1/2 a tank.

I have concerns that they have used the ODB thing to alter the mileage. I do not trust them to have done things properly and yet again it has had to go back to them to fix an incomplete repair.

Who do I go to with these concerns? I lodged a formal complaint when the car came back the first time but still haven't had a response.

Unused for a year macerator, what should I do?

Hi, I have tried searching for similar issues but everything I found refers to the saniflo/macerator not working.

I bought this house about 2 years ago and it has an ensuite shower room with a macerator toilet. The shower is tiny and the toilet made a lot of noise so I have basically never used it.

I bought the special macerator loo cleaner and have used it a few times, despite never actually using the loo. There was a bit of a drains smell which I tracked to the shower drain and tiny hand-wash basin so I followed guidance to pour a load of saniflo cleaner in both drains, and the loo itself, switching the pump off at the socket and leaving it to work. This seemed to do the trick and there has not been a recurrence of the smell since (for about a year at least)

However, I have left the loo with the lid down and the plug in the sink ever since. It hasn't been flushed for over a year. I'm far too scared to flush it and have it break and leak everywhere.

Do I just bite the bullet and flush it?

Do I need to turn the pump off and put more descaler/cleaner in?

I live in a very soft water area, never need to descale the kettle or use dishwasher salt etc.

Also, I have a background in chemistry so am not scared of any chemical type stuff, it's more the potential for a disastrous leak that concerns me!

Any advice would be very gratefully received.
