Ugg help me choose a replacement

I bought a brand new Kona electric SEL in January of 2024, blue. Last month I had an accident and a week ago it was declared a total loss.

I decided I didnt want another Kona because i hated the way the nose looked, and the seats are so uncomfortable for me that I had to buy 2 cushions so i could sit comfortably. I swear there was something else but I cant remember what. So i went to the local used EV lot and sat in a bunch of case and test-drove an EV6, Ioniq5 and 6.

I definitely liked the Ioniq 5 best. 2 days later a 2024 blue SEL showed up and i put down a deposit. It costs nearly as much as my Kona did new, but its a better car, right?

But then I realized it only has WIRED android auto. So i couldnt leave my phone in my bag for my commuter. It has no rear wiper - i HATE that. and the charging port is in the back passenger side so i probably would have to back into my driveway to charge.

I'm starting to have second thoughts. Yes, its bigger, but almost all I do is commute and go grocery shopping. Yes, its a faster charger, but i have only taken 2 road trips in 2 years so it doesnt matter to me.

They actually have a blue 2024 Kona SEL, with more miles, but a good deal cheaper.

What would you do?

Do you pay for remote climate control?

I totaled my Kona EV, which came with lifetime free connectivity for the app. It would remind me if i forgot to lock the car, let me lock remotely, and let me start climate control remotely. I could even check where it was, all sorts of cool info.

Its looking like to get that with a used car, its going to be between $100 and $200 a year, depending on the brand. That sort of weighs against the cost of the car imo.

What say you, USED EV buyers, do you pay for the remote or not?

General feedback and information, please

Hello, I am 60 years old and have finally, for maybe the first time in my life, seriously considered a reduction.

The reason I finally am considering is this: 2 weeks ago i sprained a muscle in my ribcage. it took 2 days to realize my bra was making it worse. My doctor gave me a note to work from home for 2 weeks because there is no way I could go into the office (where even 20 years ago women were required to wear pantyhose!) without a bra. Well, after 10 days of not wearing a bra, I developed a heat rash all over my ribs!

I have had heat rashes before - when i only wore wireless bras - sized bras from Decent Exposures. Once i found underwires that fit, and had more rotation, the rashes went away. but it was really frustrating!

I have lost about 12 lb in the last year. My largest bra size was around 34JJ or K, depending on the bra, and I did have to dig out some of my slightly smaller bras and put away some of the bigger ones, so I think i'm wearing 32-34 JJ, maybe a J? not sure , i havent really looked.

My mom offered me reduction surgery back in my 20s, but my back never bothered me. It still doesnt. Tho even after being braless for 2 weeks, I can still clearly see the dent around my ribcage. I do still have plenty of weight to lose - i'm still 30 lb over my pre-parenthood weight.

I have never been athletic or active. The breasts were not really the reason. I have bowed legs and some immune issues - i always found running painful in every way. I am uncomfortable at a gym. I have foot injuries that got in the way of doing my yoga a few years back. so its not like a reduction would help me get in shape.

I've been looking at some posts and they are pretty wild! But reading about recovery - i cant imagine. I work full time, have to cook every meal from scratch due to extensive food allergies, have unlaunched adult kids i'm trying to help . . . but at 60 i feel like there comes a point where surgeons would be less willing? I am not at all sure i actually want a reduction, but I just want to have more information and discussion.

Just looking for any feedback or ideas - thank you!

Percent of your electric bill

Someone asked me recently how much it costs to 'fill up' my car and i realized i dont even know how much my electric bill increased. By looking at my electric bill and the data on my autel app, it looks like our 2 EVs (2024 Kona and 2022 Niro) are using about 15-20% of our overall electric. Electricity is cheap here, though (Richmond, VA) - march electric bill was $314.

I commute to the office downtown 4x a week and do errands. Hubby goes into office maybe once a month, kid uses the Niro to go to community college twice a week. Our house is all electric - heat pump, electric stove, dryer, water heater.

Curious how that compares to other people?

Because someone asked: Total bill march was 1900 kwh, but feb was 3684. Website says my average over the past year was 1929 per month. 302 kwh in march per the autel app
