My only critique about this game: Lack of Defense
Im watching the devs have 1v1's on their AvatarFighters Youtube channel and from what I see the gameplay fluidity keeps getting better and better, the $30 price deal is definitely a steal.
However, I can't help but notice that they are trading 40-70% damage combos a bit too easy from just a single opening where the receiving player cant do anything but take it. There are no combo breakers. I see a future where high level players will end up finishing their opponent within 2 combos and wont make it as scrambly/fun as the game initially looks.
Now I am not a fighting game dev expert and I could very well be wrong, but I do find the Flow State evasions to be super crispy and one of my main attractions about this game, So my suggestion would be to implement some type of combo breaker that takes either a certain amount of your Chi orbs or half of your flow bar? tell me what you think
I'm buying the game either way but this is just main critique. Anyways thanks .
