Had a fun evening messing around with the manual low light settings. These are all around 15-25 shutter speed and 100 iso. I wonder if there's a better way to do this lol

It’s Friday! Time to game
Been playing through Final Fantasy 3 for the first time and it’s been a blast. I only had like 5 carts for the snes as a kid, so I missed a ton of the best games. I’ve recently gotten back into it and revamped my set up. It’s been super fun!

The glow on this is so pretty
Just picked up my first crt since I was a kid, a Philips 20PT6441/37. I gotta say, the colors are pretty awesome. This is composite, but I have s video and component cables on the way! As well as an 8bitdo controller. I’m all in lol, haven’t been this excited to game in a while. Have a good week everyone!

Just got my first set!
How bad is the screen bowing at the top in your opinion? Can this cause longer term damage if unaddressed? Seems pretty noticeable during certain frames, but when I’m actually playing I hardly notice it. This is through composite atm, I have s video and component cables on the way

I got an snes jr today!
Going through and giving it a deep clean. My cat is being a menace and loves playing with the QTips while I’m scrubbing. The cart slot is pretty oxidized, but the pins look good. I can’t tell if the capacitors are new or not, but they look alright to me.
Excited to test it out more tomorrow. Going to be starting super Mario rpg for the first time. Have a good week all

Super Turrican
First time playing this, and you gotta try this game if you haven’t. It’s like a cross between megaman, contra, and metroid. The music is awesome, and the controls feel great. The power ups are kinda Mario style, knocking them loose from mini platforms. You can also jump on some enemies heads. wild and I was smiling the whole time. 10/10

Capacitor swap sanity check
Decided to do my first deep clean in over 20+ years of having this thing. What do ya think? Does this need a recap? Super Mario rpg randomly crashes during the intro scene changes, and I feel I’ve ruled everything else out. I know recaps are a last resort since it’s kinda major work on the board. Every other game seems to run great. Looks like the start of leakage to me I think? Thanks for lookin

Pulled pork for 30
Hey all, kinda just looking for any words of encouragement or tips serving to this large a group. I’m a little nervous. Other people will be bringing the sides, drinks, etc. ive also asked the hosts (in laws) to have some burgers and dogs ready for folks as well for variety sake. It will be an all day family gathering with a lot of folks who can eat haha.
I have 2 crock pots at my disposal. Going to smoke around 10-12 lbs of pork butt the day before, shred, bag, and fridge overnight. Transport in a cooler with ice and reheat in the crock pots there with a few dashes of bbq sauce. Cook will be on my Weber Smokey mountain using the Memphis dust meat head rub recipe. 2 chunks of hickory and 2 chunks of apple.
I’ve cooked for a party of 16 friends before, but I only did 1 3lb shoulder. People made lil Hawaiian roll sliders with it and they went over very well, which earned me the current job lol.
I think my main concern is bark formation with 2 butts close to each other on a rack. Do they steam off each other and hinder formation? Thanks for reading, hope you have a good day.

Super Mario rpg vent
Sad I can’t get this game to work on my snes, that is all.
I’ve tried a new triad power supply.
New battery from local game store. They claimed they were able to beat the first level while testing.
All the scrubbing with 91% alcohol.
Used a cut up card with cloth to clean the extra small pin slots.
I’m at a loss. Could the system really need a recap or something? It’s my snes from childhood and still plays every other game like a champ.
My only other guess is that since I never had a cart with the extra pins until this one, those slots are somehow very oxidized or something. I’m crazy enough to keep scrubbing those if anyone out there thinks it will work.
