535 lbs / 243 kg Deadlift PR

Progress continues! 💪

At the start of this cycle I maxed out and failed 485/220 on a deadlift bar. All time PR was 500 but started the year with an adductor thing. I'm blown away and really starting to feel my swag. 🥳 Onward and upwards!

Maybe start to compete soon? Idk, I'm in my 40s and 230 lbs right now. Even if I dieted all the way down to under 200, there are some monsters in the 90kg class.

Still not RPE10, but closer

Last time, with 405x3, y'all said I had more in the tank. So, I gave 425 a shot. Closer. Still not a max but oof, soul left my body a bit on this one. The first rep was fast.

Useful set, cause my knees shot all the way back on that last rep. Gotta get quads stronger so I can keep the knees loaded on the ascent. Interstingly though, it's two days later and my adductors are the only thing that's sore.

Actual RPE10 triple on Deadlift

Realization week is finished. Haven't had a head rush like this in...ever? Took me a bit to come down.

Supposed to be Squat x3 at RPE10

Realization week of the 3s wave. Supposed to be a triple at 10, and the math said 385-395, cause 405 was my 1rm 12 weeks ago. But I think I undershot. RPE is hard.

Form checks appreciated.

On week 11 of 70s Powerlifter, by Alexander Bromley, and worked up by feel to a triple of what used to be my 1rm at the start of the program. So first off, wheee! Yay PR. More importantly, back then, I did a double knee bend to get the weight up. My glutes weren't working super well, and Ive been working on glute size and MMC since then. Think my hip drive is better now, but looking for advice, since the next 7 weeks of the program are gonna get *heavy*.

I dont see much else wrong other than "get stronger" and maybe more quads at the start. My squat has always been severely weaker than my deadloft but that's starting to even out now. Squat/quads have caught up and my e1rms are 450S and 530DL. But also, this might just be what a good deadlift looks like with my proportions. Idk, the past two months have felt different, and it feels like I leveled up and need to respect the lifts more.

It's the second week of this nine-week peaking phase. 405 was my best squat 10 weeks ago when I started, and I'm starting to get really excited about where I might end up.

Pretty sure I had at least 1 rep left. Maybe 3 if I summoned the demons of that time Tiffany cheated on me at Junior Prom.
