Sierra Game screenshots website

Greetings,

A wonderful fan/archival site by the name of sierrawallpaper.com has gone offline after being a part of the internet since 2012. This site had archived practically all of the Sierra's, Dynamix and Coktel Visions adventure games in both AGI, SCI format and a few other formats. It's been offline for many months and I've been hoping for it to return.

Unfortunately from my own sleuthing it looks like the domain was hi-jacked and purchased by some rogue gambling site where they are now squatting.

I've done some work to recover the site by crawling The Wayback Machine's archive with around 89% success rate on getting the original screenshots back.

Additionally, I've posted "a rough mirror" of the site here: https://deckarep.github.io/sierrawallpaperjr/ which is now publicly available and 100% free.

Not all screenshots have been recovered and couple of games turned up empty. If anyone feels like contributing their screenshots for either a missing game or for screenshots that didn't get recovered please let me know.

Also, if anyone knows how to get into contact with the original proprietor of the website please let me or them know!

Thanks and Happy Adventuring!

Original Sierra Artwork on Ebay

Just thought I'd share this: Original artwork recently sold on Ebay from someone in Venice, CA so far for the following games:

  • EcoQuest
  • King's Quest 6 - Lithograph - (actually a limited edition to 500)
  • Quest for Glory 4
  • ??? possibly more!

View the Ebay completed original listings: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trkparms=folent%3Acitrongoby%7Cfolenttp%3A1&_ssn=citrongoby&LH_Complete=1 to see more attached artwork!

I'm not here to promote this guys Ebay listings or help him sell. I'm just in awe of the original artwork that is extremely hard to find because Sierra chucked a lot of it in dumpsters back in the day. So sad!

Quite amazing to see this in 2026!

VCFSocal 2026 - How the Golden Age of Adventure Games were Built

Hello r/Sierra,

As promised, I wanted to share the video talk for the retro-computing conference VCFSocal 2026 presentation in Orange County, CA on How the Golden Age of Adventure Games were Built. This is both a historical and technical deep-dive into both Sierra and LucasArts adventure games. Not everything is covered as there is simply too much to talk about but and I only had ~45 minutes.

I tried to offer a mix of history + technical so people of all backgrounds could get some value of this talk. In some cases, the talk gets very technical which is the exciting part for me personally.

Also, to keep it somewhat interactive with the audience I mixed in some trivia throughout the talk and gave away stickers to participants that knew answers. These stickers were created (hand drawn, no AI) by me as vector art using PixelMator Pro on the Mac and they were modeled after a special 9" stitched color patch that Sierra created for Roger Wilco/Space Quest.

By my estimate, there were around ~70 people that showed up for this talk, and the room was full with some folks having to sit outside unfortunately. I would have been happy if 12 people showed up so this was a great success.

I have a limited amount of stickers left which I'm putting on Ebay with free shipping: https://www.ebay.com/itm/318474463658 If there is demand, I'll order more of the stickers as they are 4"x 3" UV coated and water proof, professionally printed by a sticker company.

I hope you all enjoy, please comment on the video and I'll follow-up!

Cheers,

-Deckarep

Checkout RobertaWilliams.com AI photos

I was visiting Roberta’s new website and went to the awards section and was like: hmm, I don’t recognize these game boxes.

See for yourself! This looks to be an AI generated photo.
