I dont understand invasion rating - inquiry/random thoughts

The most I’ve figured out is that when the attacking force has a low number (like 30) the shorter the timer for the planets capture is than one with a higher number (like 100).

Also I don’t understand why there isn’t a concept of pyrrhic victory or something that can slow down the attack force timer and/or reduce the invasion rating.

Like I feel like commando missions should force the enemy to take longer than normal as a bonus when completing the operation. Like adds 1 hour to the time for the enemy to complete the invasion; or reduce reinforcement rate by like one hundredth for an hour. These missions I think deserve a minor bonus for the war effort (I’m just throwing out a nice round number for the rewards, mileage may vary obviously).

Also a minor side complaint u/arrowheadGS can you please edit how the orbital blockade works in game for the DSS; it feels like it should prevent anything enemy from entering/leaving the system with it’s current explanation.

Apparently it only works oh enemy forces leaving a planet and doesn’t do anything to prevent the forces from landing planet side.

This feels very unrealistic/confusing with its current wording.

New - Next steps - Buying stuff & things

Hi All,

I got a demo/learn to play at Origins last week, and I got the 2025 DC and marvel starter boxes.

Regarding buying new stuff - I see that there are several... "editions" of the game with Modern, Silver and... Gold?... When did each start or at least what years or expansions do they cover?

Speaking of expansions, I see that there are multiple expansions each year... does the game experience power creep where each version of say... "Batman" or "Spider-Man" just better than the previous version?

Also speaking of expansions, how do the blisters work? are they just blind pools? or is there any sort of logic to them, like 1 rare, 2 uncommon and 2 common or whatever.

Regarding particular units, if I don't want a blind bag, is the best place to find minis at Cons, Ebay, and FB marketplace and such?

-----

Lastly I noticed that there's a few online web builders - like HeroClix Units - is there a good site to catalog your collection and/or you want list (like Brickset for Legos)?

Ok final question regarding of collecting / want list - I saw that there was a B:TAS and X-Men animated series lines of clix from like 2018... what are those called (IE Modern)? and if they are are they considered "good"?

Also if I prefer a certain pose over another for another for a certain character, is there a way to do that? and/or is that allowed?.... I was thinking more for games at home if power creep is a thing if the B:TAS clix are terrible for modern games vs their contemporaries.
