Vatrushka (farmer’s cheese pastry) - but make it high-protein

my sister’s take on vatrushka! no dough at all, just farmer’s cheese (творог) and yogurt as the base, protein powder, cherries, and no added sugar.
def not the traditional version, but it comes out somewhere between a vatrushka and a cheesecake 🤤

new to the curly girl method - advice needed

hi all! after struggling my whole life with dry, frizzy & fine hair, i've finally realized that my hair is actually wavy, and i've been treating it all wrong. a few weeks ago i started experimenting with a modified version of the curly girl method, and so far my hair seems to be loving it!

the routine that gave me the results in the photos:

  1. olaplex no. 4 shampoo
  2. olaplex no. 5 leave-in conditioner
  3. not your mother's curl talk gel
  4. scrunch
  5. air dry
  6. scrunch out the cast with just a little verb ghost oil

i'd love some advice on two things:

  1. volume and structure. my hair is very fine and not very dense, so this is something i really struggle with. right now my waves are soft and a little lived-in, but i'd love to get a bit more definition and hold but also more volume. i'm not sure if i'm using the wrong products, technique, or both.

  2. making it look a bit more polished overall. i have an corporate job, and i'm not sure whether this look comes across as polished enough for a professional setting, especially the strands around my face. if anyone has tips for getting a more put-together finish while keeping the waves, i'd really appreciate it!

mental approach to playing polyrhythms?

i have a somewhat specific question for experienced handpan players 🙏

i’m a beginner and just started learning polyrhythms. right now i’m working on something as simple as 2:3, where one hand plays "one-two, one-two" while the other plays "one-two-three" at the same time.

how do you actually experience playing it? do you think of it as one coordinated pattern (like "both-left-right-left, both-left-right-left"), or do you genuinely keep the two rhythms separate in your mind? i'm curious what it feels like once it becomes natural.
