Naturally we are quite curious about what is happening in Holyoke, where supposedly this company has its headquarters.
A prospective data center project, newly announced rural health grants that include funding for Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center, interest in purchasing the former Hope Baking Company plant and the creation of a county fund for ad valorem tax collections were the matters discussed Thursday by the Hempstead County Quorum Court.
Justice of the Peace and Budget Committee Chair Ed Darling told the court that a data center company had approached the community about locating a facility on 89 acres in the Hempstead County industrial park at the junction of Hempstead County Road 248 and Arkansas 32. “We have had contact with this company a little over a week, so this information is all fairly new,” Darling said.
Today I received a check from Progressive based on an inspection done a week ago by an adjuster. An email sent June 1st lists the parts and the labor it would cost to repair the severe hail damage my Impala took in April, minus a $1,000 deductible.
There was no info on any of the documentation I got on whether or not the car has been declared totalled and whether or not my car can continue to be driven and insured by Progressive or any other insurer if I were to cash the check and use it to make the repairs. The adjuster said it was a pretty good chance it would be declared totalled.
So I'm wondering now if I cash the check will that mean I will have to get a Salvage Title for my car (I'm in Arkansas) and whether I can get the car at least ensured for liability so I can continue to drive it and work.
My father believes it may mean I am SOL if I cash the check. But he did not major in insurance. Nor did I.
Made a terrible mistake in thinking mint plus on a laptop I was buying on ebay meant it was in mint condition plus. I'm really a longtime Windows 11 user without the faintest clue about linux. I shouldn't have bought this.
When the computer arrived I looked up how to bypass the password, which the seller didn't provide to me. Somehow I went through a series of steps from Recovery Mode, which I managed to get into by holding Shift when the computer was booting. I followed the steps and thought I reset the password. Of course when I booted and then tried that password, it just blinked and then confronted me with a blank password field again.
Finally the seller responded to my request for the password, which was "password." This didn't work either.
Now when I'm trying to boot into recovery mode, nothing I try works. I hold the left shift key. It just continues to boot and goes to the password field page again. I hold ESC. Rather than going to Recovery mode it will flash a bunch a gibberish at me, or it will place me where there's a set of text and then GRUB> I don't know what to do with that at all.
Before I send it back to the seller, I thought I'd try seeing what there is I can do.
