Feeling unsafe in Arnhem
Hi, im an 26 year old male expat and ive in the nl for about 7 years. Ive lived in Groningen, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Amerafoort but since ive moved to Arnhem its the only place ive genuinely felt unsafe.
Its full of homeless people or just shady looking people around Velperport, the city center and especially the albert heijn on the street close to the Cathedral near velperport.
I often see the same junkies walking around mumbling to themselves and sometimes even asking me for stuff. Im not feeling particularly threatened as im quite big and have some martial arts background but its the only city where ive met so many sketchy ppl. What's up with that?
It seems that almost everywhere i go whether its the gym , on the bus or on a random street people are just weird.
