First hat made with hand dyed wool

Used the food coloring method with vinegar to dye some wool yarn. Super happy with the colors and now I just wish it wasn't summer so I could wear my beanie around town. Definitely hooked on dyeing my own yarn from now!

Finished first ever knit hat, knitted flat then sewed together

Decided I needed a hobby to stop me from looking at social media so much, so I picked up some size 6 yarn and large wooden needles. Today I finished my first ever knit hat, I knitted it flat alternating two rows of knits and purls. I also made the bottom 4 stitches all knits to try and define the folded brim. The top is pretty rough since there is a lot of extra fabric, so I do want to learn how to knit in the round.

I've got a large head and always struggled to find beanies that fit, so I was super happy I was able to make this custom and I learned so much. Ready to jump into my next project, and I'm excited to size down my yarn to make some more delicate items.
