Question for the group. I was FB MP lurking and came across this guitar. No serial number and the logo looks like a Hetfield sig model mod, but the EMGs look real (older logo) and it has a battery box and set neck. Appears to have Grovers too. It’s obviously been heavily modified with the selector switch move. Is this maybe an older EC 400 or 1000? Complete fake? Thanks in advance.
Still remember this concert and seeing Trivium being this young incredible band and thinking that my band didn’t stand a chance if this is what was on offering. Blew me away. Chimaira was insane good too. Wasn’t a bad spot in the house. Watched the whole concert less than 15 feet from both bands. 🤘
This was my first new guitar, bought back in 2004ish for about $300. I’ve since owned many more guitars but I always go back to this guy for inspiration. Not sure if it’s really that solid of a guitar or just a familiar guitar that I’ve played a thousand times. Sounds killer for metal and goes toe to toe with my LTDs despite the disparity in price. I have very little information on this guy aside from what I’ve already said and a sticker on the neck that says “made in Korea”. I’d be grateful if the group has any other info. Thanks all!
