Crossplay off = almost no players?

I’m just curious as to what goes on with portal. So, I’m on PS5, playing in North America (Idaho). When I turn crossplay off, with all regions selected, player count on the portal is like…eight. Total. All possible games included. Prime time.

Eight Total players? Does that mean that I am one of nine PS5 players in the world with crossplay off trying to play a portal game? Seems fishy.

Been playing solo conquest quite a bit to rank up some weapons, and in doing so I’ve found myself compelled to accomplish several side quests which I now consider sort of my guys “personality.” Or perhaps, I’ve discovered his triggers to violence, as it were.

My guy hates, and I mean absolutely despises with the molten core of his soul - all cardboard boxes, trees, potted plants and hedges. It’s not unusual for him to check out of an active firefight in order to smash or burn up a random box nearby. Pallets of boxes drive him bananas. Warehouses filled with pallets of boxes, surrounded by hedges make him feel like a fat kid in a candy store. Trees exist solely to be mowed down by his tanking or shaved by his otherwise horrendously useless helo skills.

Don’t ask me, it’s his thing, clearly. But I kind of have a feeling that back home, before the war, his family was driven out of the farm that had been in the family for a hundred years by a Fed Ex distribution center buying up half his county, which subsequently employed all of his friends and turned them all into boring suburbanites.

This sense of injustice, of course, was only brought to a boil when he found out his wife Karen was secretly banging a shadowy landscaper named Lang for kicks.

Passes the time I reckon!

What’s your dude or dudettes thing?
